A fun and relaxing day in Tokyo with Za!

Hey everyone!

Last week I was invited by Za (from the House of Shiseido) to experience their True White Two-way foundation and also spend a fun, relaxing day in some of the best spots in Tokyo. Everyone needs some fun and pamper time to stay feeling fresh and young and every city has something amazing to offer. I had a fabulous day unwinding in some of the most stylish rejuvenating parts of Tokyo.

My day started at the Shiseido offices in Tokyo where I tried out the True White Two-way foundation and learnt the best application techniques to apply it. I was also matched with a shade from the range to try out and the lovely people at Za gifted me a personalised foundation case!

My Week in Instagram Photos! (Vol.32)

Hey everyone!

I had a pretty fun week and here are some snapshots of my fun in the city! On Thursday, I had a fun and relaxing day exploring some really lovely spots in Tokyo with Anna from Shiseido (more on that coming up in the next post). And on Friday, I did another walking tour on Tokyo, this time exploring the Tokyo Bay area covering about 10 km on foot. Had a relaxing weekend trying out some new recipes and while my chocolate cake was a bit of a fail, my pizza turned out quite decent. Its my third attempt at making pizza from scratch and my pizza making skills are definitely improving!

I hope you are all had a great week and a lovely weekend! Wishing everyone a Happy Diwali in advance. Hope all your Diwali shopping, cleaning, decorating and cooking in underway!

My Day out exploring Tokyo!

Hey everyone!

I was meaning to take a break for a day from the blog and I decided to do something I had never done before – a full day out walking around Tokyo! Tokyo is a beautiful city and very convenient for people on foot and bikes. There are footpaths, pedestrian bridges, a gazillion zebra crossings (on even the tiniest of streets) and people in vehicles are generally very considerate. Its also very very clean and its rare to come across any overflowing trash cans or open drains. My aim was to walk for at least 10 hours (to get some good cardio) and also to explore more of Tokyo while doing so.

I started from home before 8.30 in the morning when my husband was leaving for work and started my journey, heading south towards central Tokyo. Even though the weather has been a bit dull lately, yesterday turned out to be a beautiful brilliant sunny day! My first 2 hours of walking weren’t so much fun because I was a bit sleepy and was walking mainly through regular streets I’ve seen before. But after that the cityscape changed and I came across some beautiful buildings and gardens near the Ueno area. There is nothing I love more than gardens and parks and I took a break to have some snacks!
