It’s that time of the year when most of us are planning a summer vacation, probably a beach getaway to rejuvenate and recharge. The sun and the sea are always a big inspiration for summer collections and this season, Vero Moda has launched a beautiful collection inspired by the cool blue and white hues of Santorini, the ultimate destination for a beach vacation.
I’ve partnered with Vero Moda and one of my favorite beauty brands, Clinique, to create a day and evening look for you. I’ve picked out a comfortable maxi dress from this collection that is perfect for a relaxed day by the beach and can be easily dressed up for an evening out with just a few tweaks. I’m also going to show you a full beauty tutorial for a fresh, glowy and relaxed look and a glam evening look with a pop of color! Hope you enjoy this post. Read on further for the product details.
Chambor has launched a colorful little Summer collection called Happy Hues this month which includes sheer hydrating lipsticks, textures nail polishes and 2 new blush colors. I love seasonal collections especially in pretty packaging and the metallic green of this collection is gorgeous! Read on further for the full details of the new collection.
A swipe of turquoise blue or forest green instant lights up the eyes and is super easy to incorporate in your look too. I love adding a dash of color to the waterline and lower lash line to brighten up eyes on balmy summer days. Maybelline has a beautiful range of colored kohls that make flaunting bright liner easily affordable. My personal favorite is the shade Turquoise which looks beautiful on brown eyes.
2. Tinted Lip Balm
There are always days when you don’t feel like wearing much makeup when it’s sweltering outside. But a tinted lip balm in a sheer, bright color in a great way to add some moisture (the heat dehydrates the lips too) and a little color to the face without looking made up. I’ve been reaching for the Maybelline Baby Lips Electro Pop in Berry Bomb these days. The fruity flavor is refreshing and the sheer berry tint looks very flattering and natural on the lips. Pink Shock is also a great pick if you want a deeper tint of pink.

In this week’s video, I’ve done a fresh look that is appropriate for the summer. As requested by so many of you, this is a talk through video instead of a voiceover one and for the first time, I’ve also shown a quick hair-do you can do with this look that is summer friendly. The look is simple and natural with a pop of pink on the lips to add some freshness. This is a no foundation look (I don’t like wearing foundation on hot summer days!) and I’ve shown how you can cover up under eye circles and blemishes with just concealer and loose powder to get an even, matte complexion.
The video is a bit longer than usual since its my first talk through but I hope you find it useful!
