I had a lot of requests for a Beginners tutorial on How to Apply Highlighter! Highlighter is one of those amazing products that can make a subtle but considerable difference to your makeup – it gives you a lovely glow and hence makes your skin looks healthier! In this video, I talk about what a highlighter is and how to use it. I have used Revlon Cheek Highlighting Palette in Bronze Glow for this tutorial.
I was passing by a Revlon counter and I just popped over to see if the Colorburst Matte and Lacquer Balms had launched but spotted these instead. The Revlon Highlighting palettes take after the iconic Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks – 5 strips of complementing shimmer powders to add a radiant glow to the skin. These are available in 3 shades – 01 Peach Glow, 02 Rose Glow and 03 Bronze Glow.
Its the time of the year when brands are rolling out their spring collections and here are a few products I’m really keen on trying out..!
Clinique Cheek Pop Blushes
Clinique is a much loved brand on this blog and I’m really excited about the 4 gorgeous blushes they’ve launched for this spring. If you’ve not heard of them, check out Temptalia’s review. I don’t think they have launched here in Japan yet but when they do, I’ll be sure to pick 1 (or 2!).
Clinique Whole Lotta Candy Chubby Stick Set
This beautiful gift set contains 3 chubby stick lip balms in a super cute candy stripe packaging! The shades included are – Pudgy Peony, Two Ton Tomato, and Voluptuous Violet. They’re perfect for a sheer pop of color on the lips (very spring-y!) and they’ll pair so well with the new cheek pop blushes! I’m not sure if this is available in India but I’ve seen it on counters here in Japan.
Revlon Lacquer Balm/Matte Balm
After the success of the Balm stains, Revlon has rolled out 2 more Balm formulas – the Lacquer Balm (opaque, pigment rich lip color) and the Matte Balm (balm like texture, matte finish). I really like Revlon lip products, really want to try these. I haven’t seen them here yet, I hope they launch soon!
