Celebrity Face of the Day : Penelope Cruz Campari Calendar

While this post makes it 2 red lip looks in a row, I couldn’t resist sharing this gorgeous sultry look worn by Penelope Cruz for the Campari Calendar. In the first image, the creamy red lip is worn with a striking cat eye but it doesn’t look overwhelming on her. In the second image, the eye makeup is softer, more concentrated on the lid and upper lash line and goes with the softer mood of the picture. Each of the 12 pictures is amazing! I’ve a HUGE folder of Celebrity makeup looks which I keep hoarding for doing tutorials but I end up doing very few of them! Introducing a new feature - Celebrity Face of the Day to share Celeb looks I like, if you like a particular look too – I could do a look/tutorial for it in the coming week!

Keira Knightley – Makeup at ‘Anna Karenina’ New York Premiere

Today the spotlight is on Keira Knightley‘s lush lash-stained red lip look which she wore for the New York Premiere of her latest movie Anna Karenina recently. I love this look – its so sophisticated and glamorous. Her skin looks fresh with a hint of blush, the eyes are neatly defined with kitten flick black liner and loads of mascara. The focus of the look is the lips – the glossy stain makes the whole look so fresh and light despite the deep lip color!

To achieve this look : I’d recommend applying a thin layer of a cherry red lipstick with a lip brush (MAC Ruby Woo), blotting it off on a tissue and then applying a thin layer of gloss/balm on top. 2 Swipes of Revlon Colorburst lip butter Cherry Tart will give the same look as well!

The makeup looks fabulous with the sleek hair and the outfit! What do you think?
