I’ve been testing out some new products recently and I thought I’ll show you a quick look I created using these. Most of the new products I’m testing are from Chambor. And then I have an interesting cheek trio from Freedom which is fantastic! This makeup looks quite put together but it took me just about 10 minutes or so to apply! That’s the power of a red lip and glowy skin – it instantly makes you look fresh and polished!
I used to be a MAC eye shadow snob for a while but lately I’ve discovered some amazing eye shadows in other brands. One of my best finds has definitely been The Body Shop Color Crush eye shadows. I have tried 2 shades from the range (peachy-gold shade reviewed HERE) and both are stellar!
This week’s most loved products include some old favorites and few new, including a skin care product for the first time on this feature. Brands featured in today’s post – NARS, Olay, Faces Canada, Make Up For Ever and Lakme!
1. NARS Blush : Torrid
NARS Torrid is the most stunning blush ever! Its a beautiful apricot shade containing gold micro-shimmer that instantly adds warmth and life to my face. Orgasm is the most hyped blush from NARS but it gives little color and mostly shimmer to my medium complexion. Torrid on the other hand is everything I had imagined Orgasm to be. The formula is excellent – soft texture, brilliant pigmentation, blends easily into the skin and stays on well! Full review coming up soon. I’m wearing it HERE. Price : 3000 JPY (Rs 1776)
2. Olay Total Effects 7 in one Day Cream
This is an excellent day cream for winters. The texture isn’t too thick so my combination skin carries it well, it adds an instant glow when I apply it and it contains SPF 15 which means I can skip the sunblock (for now!). I haven’t been using it too long so don’t know if it does anything in the long run. Will update if it does. Price : Rs 750.
Bold, bright colors on the eyes aren’t easy look to pull off. Sunny yellows, tangy oranges, bright greens, watermelon pinks and fresh blues can look overwhelming especially when more than three colors are used together. For this tutorial, I am using three colors – sunny yellow, watermelon pink and a warm blue. Don’t use more than three colors at the same time (unless you’re doing a themed look for a special event!) to keep the look wearable.
