What were the first makeup brands you tried?

My earliest makeup purchase was a Revlon lipstick for my school farewell. It was a lovely strawberry shade, its too bad I don’t remember the shade and have thrown it out long back! The first makeup that I more consciously bought was mostly Maybelline and Lakme, most of which was not suited for my skin tone/type! I had the Silk Naturelle foundation which made my skin quite oily, a Maybelline long wear lipstick (which peeled off like paint from my lips!) and a loose powder eye shadow from Maybelline (a dark grey one which had terrible fall out!). I didn’t have a very good idea of how to pick products and what suited me back then but I think I’ve come a long way
