Today I’m doing a tutorial requested by several of you recently – makeup for hooded eyes/monolids. Hooded Eyes and Monolids don’t have a visible lid area when the eye is open. Basically the fold of the eye covers up the lid in case of hooded eyes and in case of monolid, the crease isn’t there to break up the lid into 2 areas – hence the term mono lid. So in this tutorial, I have kept the lid work simple and talked about how to create a faux crease so that the shadow is visible and used colored liners to emphasize the eyes. A touch of turquoise on the eyes looks beautiful in the summer!
Since the lash lines are always visible, you can play up those areas by using bright colors along the lash lines instead of on the lid where it won’t be visible unless you close your eyes. Hope you find this useful! I don’t have hooded eyes or mono lids so it was a little hard to demonstrate but since many of you requested this tutorial, I wanted to do it!

The Video Tutorial for the Party Smoky Eye Makeup I posted here is up on my Youtube Channel! Head over to my channel or watch the tutorial embedded below.
Its a neutral look featuring a mix of cool toned eyes with warm cheeks and lips that would be a great look for an evening event and for brides as well. Its a great look for ladies who don’t like too much of brights in their makeup and want to create a party look with neutral tones. Since I created this makeup for special occasions, there is some extra effort in this look to create a flawless, glowing base (hence the long product list!).

I have a new Video tutorial for you today! I know its been a while since my last video. The September Challenge was keeping me really busy and I was also facing some issues with my computer. I have a new system now so hopefully we’ll have loads of new videos in the coming month. This new video is a simple festive look that you can create easily and quickly. With the festive season in full swing, I hope you will find this useful!
I’ve had a lot of requests for Budget makeup tutorials and more beginners makeup recently so I decided to combine the two to create a simple party/special occasion makeup for beginners using budget makeup products. I used a bronze eye shadow to create a soft bronze smokey eye, defined the eyes with winged liner, kohl and mascara. For the cheeks, I used a highlighting pink-bronze blush to skip the need for layering different product to achieve a party glow! And the for the lips, I chose an understated red that would suit a lot of skin tones.
