Hi everyone! The year is almost over, the holidays have officially started. I received a lovely gift bag from Estée Lauder India a few days back and I’m sharing a quick look I created using the products.
Hi everyone! As the year comes to an end, holiday season parties are on everyone’s mind. I’ve been really into doing party makeup looks these past few weeks and here are 3 of my most recent videos for some party makeup inspiration. I love a red lip as it instantly brightens and lifts the whole face. To give a little party spin to a classic red lip-winged liner combination, I added a thin silver liner with the black. This look is really striking, definitely party-worthy and quite easy to do. You don’t need any eye shadows for this look! I used my favorite red lipstick – MAC Ruby Woo for this look. If you haven’t been keeping up with the news, MAC is now available at Nykaa.com 🙂
Red Lips or smokey eyes may not be everyone’s cup of tea. For fans of a nude look, I did a soft gold party look last week which pairs a soft brown lip with a gold eye. To add a little festive spin to it, I used a gold pigment over the eyes, with a soft cut crease. Winged liner always looks pretty and I made sure to use a generous bit of highlighter on the cheekbones for a golden glow.
For those who love the drama of a black smokey eye, this sparkly smokey eye look would be perfect! I generally don’t do black smokey eyes as they can be difficult to pull off but I loved how the silver pigment added some sparkle and shine to a flat smokey eye. To keep the focus on the eyes, I used a neutral blush and warm nude lip.
Which of these 3 looks would you like to try out? My personal favorite is the red lip 🙂
Hi everyone! If you love classic fall-winter shades, the new Nykaa lipstick collection is just for you. The So Matte! Fall Winter collection contains 8 shades – from soft browns to deeper plum and burgundy shades. The formula is smooth, pigmented, long lasting and has a creamy matte finish. The magnetic black packaging has got an upgrade with a colored label at the bottom, making storage and color identification really easy! Check out my video for the shade details and swatches.
Hi everyone! Maybelline India has been introducing lots of new products in the past couple of months and their latest new launch is the BB Cushion Foundation. I just received a sample of this so I thought I’d do a quick first impressions post.
The Cushion Foundation trend started in South Korea and while cushion makeup is catching up quickly in the west, there aren’t many options in the Indian market yet. The only ones I know of are by Lancome and Innisfree. I do have the Lancome one, in case any of you would like a review. I also have the one by The Body Shop which I got from my UK Trip back in June but it hasn’t launch in India yet. It is very good though and I’ve used it quite a bit.
The idea behind a cushion foundation is ease of application. A foundation soaked sponge or ‘cushion’ replaces the traditional botle and a soft padded applicator is used to directly tap the foundation onto the skin after pressing it on the cushion. The cushion releases foundation on the applicator as you apply pressure and its easy to apply and blend on the skin with a few taps.
Hi everyone! Today I’m reviewing the V-Face contouring range that was launched by Maybelline India a couple of months back. The range contains a duo stick, a duo powder and a contour blush. I’ve used the duo stick in my videos a few times and it is by far my favorite product from this range. Read on for the full review of each of these three products.
Maybelline V-Face Contour Duo Powder (Rs 500)
The duo powder contains a segment of lighter powder in the centre, with a darker shade surrounding it. I got the shade Light-Medium (which on online websites is listed as Beige), which ended up being too pale for my complexion. While the texture is smooth, the colors don’t do anything to my face, being so close to my skin tone. I’m a little disappointed with the shade range. I think they should have introduced 1-2 deeper shades as I can’t see these light colors working at all on most Indian complexions. Available online at Amazon.in.
