Hey everyone!

As all of you know I had covered the Hair and Makeup for Lakme Fashion Week Winter-Festive earlier in August (in case you’d missed out my posts, check the links at the end of this post). While makeup always remains my first love, I was quite awed by the spectacular hair styles that were created by the talented hair stylists for the shows.

Here’s my compilation for Top 5  Hair Trends for this season :

1. Sleek ponytails

Ponytails were seen almost everyday from Day 1 to Day 5 of the Fashion Week. They are easy to create and instantly give a modern touch to the entire look.

This post comes a bit late as I took a small breather after the Lakme Fashion Week. Day 5 saw a lot of variety on the ramp with gorgeous Indian wear by Neeta Lulla to Androgynous clothing, sequined cocktail gowns and of course, the Grand Finale (to be covered in a separate post). There was a lot of variety it the makeup and hair as well with buns, braids, pink/tangerine lips emerging as strong trends.

Hey everyone!

It was another exciting day at Lakme Fashion Week today! There was a lot of variety in the shows today from ornate evening/bridal wear saris to fierce jewelry/chic handbags and flowy cruise-wear and swim wear. Once again, the makeup and hair was done fabulously to go with the themes of the shows by artists Clint Fernandes and Kapil Bhalla.

Hey everyone!

It is Indian Textile Day today and the shows at LFW Winter-Festive 2012 were simply stunning! Traditional and Indo-western wear in rich fabrics and vibrant colors were the order of the day with gorgeous makeup to match! Hey everyone!

For this season, Lakme has unveiled something refreshingly different from what we’ve seen in that past. Keeping with the spirit of ‘Makeup that doesn’t look made-up’, Lakme showcased 4 gorgeous (and wearable!) makeup looks with the new collection ‘Monochrome‘. The new collection consists of a new 6-color Lip palette and some selected pieces from the existing Absolute range.
