L’Oreal Paris has an amazing range of lipsticks and the Infallible range doesn’t get enough love in my opinion. The formula is creamy and hydrating, well pigmented, very lightweight and comfortable to wear. The color range is quite nice with a good mix of lights, brights and deep colors.
A few months back, I started a One Brand Tutorialseries on my YouTube channel and after creating looks using Maybelline, MAC, Natio and Clinique, I’ve done a look using all Lakme products. Lakme is the one brand that I’m sure every Indian woman has tried and its easily available across India. I really like the colors they come out with, be it lipsticks, eye shadows or foundations because their shades always work really well for Indian skin tones. In this video, I’ve created a festive look that would work for all special occasions!

Every season, Lakme launches a new collection with Lakme Fashion Week and this summer, the theme is Illuminate. The Illuminate collection from Lakme contains 3 new pencil eye liners, 2 eye shadow palettes with 6 eye shadows each and new Lip Shimmer lipsticks. I received a few samples for review last week and I tried out some of them in my Summer Color Makeup Video. I know many of you were curious about the lipsticks so here are the swatches and my thoughts on the products –
Every season, LakmeFashion Week brings a fresh theme inspired by the International trends to the runway. This summer, the trend statement is ‘Illuminate’ and I got the opportunity to catch some backstage action before the Nikhil Thampi show on Friday. The designer presented his collection titled “Quantum” at Stage One at LFW and he incorporated the Illuminate theme into the looks with the help of the Lakme Salon experts who created 3 stunning beauty looks. The hair, makeup and nail look for this show was no easy feat. The shimmer laden eyes, crystal lips and high volume hair were nothing less than a work of art and the avant-garde beauty looks complemented the powerful and clean silhouettes of the outfits really well.
The dark lip trend from the 90s is making a comeback and here’s how you can you carry this trend using the new Revlon HD lipstick. 90s lips were predominantly in brown hues and in a matte finish. To give it a modern spin, I’ve created a lip with reddish undertones with a slightly creamy finish. Deep rich lip colors are the perfect way to amp up any evening look!
