Happy Saturday! Its been a while since I did a colorful eye makeup look and I decided to try out some Inglot matte shadows that I hadn’t touched in a while. I created a blue-green colorful look using all matte shadows, used a sapphire liner to complement the eye shadows and added a gold highlight in the inner corner. To complement the eyes, I used a soft pinky coral lip color.

I was in the mood for a bit of color today and I decided to do an intense purple smokey eye. To add some gradient and dimension to the purple, I used some magenta and rust eye shadows to smoke out the corners and kept the center of the lids very purple. I used my Inglot eye shadows for this eye makeup (Read on to see the list of products used). To balance out the heavy eye makeup, I used a sheer tea rose gloss on the lips and soft berry blush on the cheeks!
This week’s favorites features a mix of brands – Kate (by Kanebo), Guerlain, Milani and Inglot!
Kate BB Gel Cream
This is an amazing BB cream from the Japanese brand KATE (part of Kanebo)! I love its light weight texture combined with the good coverage. It evens out my skin really well – almost working like a light to medium coverage foundation. The formula works really nicely with my combination skin – it doesn’t catch onto dry parts but controls the oilier bits making it an ideal long wear base! Love it! Price : 1500 JPY (Rs 916)
Guerlain Kiss Kiss Essence de Gloss : #421 Grenat
This juicy gloss is super hydrating and the rosy brown shade is very natural and wearable. I really like the non-sticky texture, the slight translucence and instant softening it gives to my lips. Unfortunately its been discontinued! Its definitely one of my favorite MLBB (my-lips-but-better) glosses! Price : approx. Rs 1500.
Its difficult to choose just 1 so I’m going to go with the following 3 – Clinique Super Balanced Foundation, Clarins Lotus Treatment Facial Oil and Inglot eyeshadow Rainbow Refill in shade 107 R. I use the last one for blending out eye shadows, filling brows etc – its really useful and versatile!
