Today I’m doing a shimmery gold/green eye makeup look paired with warm blush and Avon Mango Mania lipstick. I recently purchased some Coastal Scents sample eye shadows along with a few other things and among them is the shade ‘Mojito Mint‘. Its a gorgeous cross between lime green and olive green and has very fine gold shimmer.
I love green eye makeup and my favorite combination partner with greens is coral. However, I decided to go a little more muted on the lips this time and used Avon Mango Mania lipstick– which is a muted brick-coral-brown color. The result was a balanced look with enough color yet nothing too loud, can be worn in the day as well as night.
Its been some time did a full FOTD with makeup breakdown so today I’m doing a red lips look with NYX round lipstick ‘Hero’. NYX Round lipstick ‘Hero’ is an intense cherry red shade with a glossy finish which is very richly pigmented. I’ve paired this lipstick with a medium plummy taupe eye shadow and thick liner with a reddish-pink stain on the cheeks- the main focus of the look is the intense lip and the strong thick black liner, hence the name ‘Black Cherry’!
Late teens and college is the time where most of us start experimenting with makeup! It is always good to start with a few basic items like tinted lip balms and pencil liners and slowly graduate to lipsticks/blushes depending on how comfortable you are wearing them. Besides being simple and easy to use, college makeup-must haves should also be pocket-friendly!
Being a college student myself, despite my *love* for makeup, I like to keep my college look simple and fresh. A hint of color on the lips and eyes and some tinted sunscreen and compact to even out skin and take care of oiliness is all I need on most days.
Here are my top 5 makeup recommendations for teens and college going girls.
