Himalaya Herbals Anti Hair Fall Range Experience

Hi everyone! Last week I was invited by Himalaya Herbals for a special hair care experience with their Anti Hair Fall range. Since hair fall is my biggest concern with regard to hair, I was quite looking forward to trying out the products. This range consists of 4 products – a hair oil, a shampoo, a conditioner and a leave-in cream. The products are enriched with natural ingredients known for strengthening the hair, ingredients such as bhringraj, palaash and amla. I clicked some pictures of my experiential, have a look below!

NEW Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Shampoo, Conditioner | Review

Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Shampoo, Conditioner
Pantene Pro-V Hair Fall Control Shampoo, Conditioner

Hair fall has always been a big problem for me and its only after years of trying out different products that I realised that fall from the roots aside, hair breakage contributes majorly to hair loss. Having hair that is dry, frizzy and wavy in nature, breakage happens easily with everyday activities like brushing and styling. Some time ago, I switched to high end brands, hoping they’d keep my hair in its best form. So I was pleasantly surprised when I tried out the new Pantene Hair Fall Control Shampoo & Conditioner as part of the Pantene India #14DayChallenge.

The shampoo is priced at Rs 110 for 180 ml while the conditioner retails for Rs 55 for 75ml.

The BlogAdda team sent me a sample of the new shampoo and conditioner along with a mystery, competitor product. For the sake of comparison, I tried out both the products and the Pantene one was a winner for me. While the mystery shampoo and conditioner left my hair a bit tangled, the Pantene worked much better at smoothing my unruly tresses.

How to reduce Hair fall | Hair Care

1. Protection from the sun : Sun rays can damage your hair as UV rays make your tresses brittle. Avoid stepping out in the sun during the peak hours. Whenever you go out, make sure that your hair is protected with a scarf or a headgear.

2. A massage a day to keep the hair fall away : Now this is a tip to borrow from your grandmother! Regular oil massage keeps your hair healthy. It increases blood circulation and prevents hair loss. Massage your hair regularly for a few minutes with different hair oils like coconut oil, almond oil or olive oil for shiny and strong hair.

3. Nutrition check : Your hair is what you eat goes the saying. Deficiency of nutrients like Vitamin E and B can lead to hair fall. Make sure you include plenty of protein rich foods in your diet.

4. Avoid tight ponytails : Tight ponytails look smart but stress out your hair and scalp! Try to loosen up your ponytail to ease the tension on your hair. Avoid plastic bands and switch to fabric bands for regular use. Keep your hair braided to reduce the hair fall.

5. Trim your hair every few weeks to get rid of split-ends. Split-ends prevent the growth of your hair and can make your hair look dull.

Me : What kind of hair styles are in trend right now?

Marcus : A more relaxed and lived-in feel is very trendy right now. There is a lot of texture to the hair which gives a more casual air to the look. Braids are also very in – whether it be a full braid or a braided bun or a just a section of hair braided while the rest is left open/tied back. Also seen on the runway are voluminous, retro-inspired hair styles that are always very glamorous.

Me : This is the season of weddings in India. What is your take on bridal hair styles?

Marcus : I feel one should go for something soft and not too sharp for a bridal look. You don’t want to be thinking too much about trends for your wedding look, go for something classic and timeless that will always look beautiful and graceful. You don’t want to look back on your wedding pictures years later and wonder what you were  thinking!
