Amazon India is hosting the Great Indian Diwali Sale and I recently posted about my top 10 picks here. Since I had a lot of favorites to recommend from Lakme, I thought of doing a separate post for my top Lakme picks from the sale! Lakme is one brand that I’ve explored really well and these are the products that I’ve picked out for you –
The Eyeconic kajals are creamy, have excellent color pay off and stay really well on the eyes. The black variant is the classic but my favorite is the green one! Its amazing by itself as a liner or kajal and can be paired with a green eye shadow to create a stunning green smokey eye! It looks gorgeous on brown/black eyes and I highly recommend it!
Today I’m reviewing some pieces from the Studio Westmakeup collection. You might recall seeing some of these in my recent video tutorial here. The Studio West range is available across Westside stores in India and is an excellent option for good quality, reasonably priced makeup products.
Today I’m reviewing the Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Pen which landed on Indian shores early this month. This is a brush tip, ultra fine liquid eye liner that I’ve been using a lot lately (hence all the winged eye liner looks!).
I was testing out some new products for review including a blue gel liner from Rimmel and decided to do a super winged eye liner. Unfortunately, the blue liner doesn’t have the creamiest texture and it was really hard to get a clean wing using it. I switched to the newly launched Clinique Pretty Easy Liquid Eyelining Penand completed the bold wing using that. To emphasise the wing, I wore some heavily flared false eye lashes and completed the look with peachy cheeks and a glossy peach-apricot lip. Interestingly, I didn’t use a single eye shadow for this look, a pretty rare occurrence!
With this season of Lakme Fashion Week, Lakme rolled out two exciting new launches in beauty – the Lip Pout Matte Tints and the iOS version of the Makeup Pro App! The Makeup Pro app is a really fun tool where you can try out different looks and products on yourself in real time. The app uses your front camera to detect your face and you can try different looks, products, save or share the look and even purchase all the products used for the look. Its quite easy to use and I love the iOS version – especially the full portfolio of liners and lipsticks.
I’d been trying out lots of different colors and looks using the app throughout Fashion week and in this post, I’ve decoded the top looks. The trend statement for this season is the bright, matte lip color and this trend was reflected in several of the shows. The bright, rich lip color was the focus of the look and I recreated the look with different shades of Lakme lipsticks using the app. I love a bold lip so this is definitely my favorite look!
