Today I’m sharing some of my favorite high end blushes with you. I think each of the shades I’ve picked out here are very flattering for Indian complexions and I find myself reaching for these over and over again. Don’t forget to share your favorites in the comments below!
1. MAC Matte Blush : Melba
Melba is a one of the best blushes for Indian complexions in my opinion. Its a dusty peach color that is neither too peachy nor too earth toned and adds just the right amount of color to the cheeks. The matte formula is smooth and easy to blend, gives a natural looking finish and stays well. One of most loved MAC blushes for sure!
2. MAC Satin Blush : Fleur Power
If memory serves me right, this was my first MAC blush and one that I’ve recommended to countless people. If you’re looking for a pretty pink, look no further. This one of the shades that look fantastic on all complexions. The color is brightening but not too bright and livens up the face. If you’re feeling tired, this is the blush that would brighten up a dull complexion and add a rosy glow to the cheeks. The formula is soft and smooth, blends with ease and well pigmented so its best to use a light hand for application. The satin finish looks natural and the color stays on quite well too.
Continuing the Best of 2014 series, we have blushes next. I feel 2014 was the year of blushes and lipsticks because I have loads of these to talk about! There are 7 cheek products that I loved using in 2014, lets have a look –
Its been a while since I posted a look so I thought of doing something today with some new products I’m testing. This is the end result – a peach-gold smokey eye with luminous coral cheeks and a juicy sheer coral lip! I was in the mood to create a warm toned look that would go with these gold earrings (shown here in Forever21 haul) and this is how it turned out. Products used are listed further on in this post ~
Just a quick update to let you know that the Clinique Cheek Pop Blushers have launched in India this month! These are available in 4 shades (swatches in this post) and are priced at Rs 1800. I love these and have reviewed the shade Peach Pop HERE.
Along with these, Clinique India has launched a few more products – 3 new Shades of Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Balm (Jumbo Jasmine, Plumped up Pink and Supreme Sorbet) along with 2 new shades of Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for the Eyes (Grandest Gold and Plushiest Periwinkle). Both of these are priced at Rs 1190. These new products form the new collection “Now in Bloom : Brights” which also includes the Lash Power Feathering Mascara (Rs 1400) and Clinique Happy fragrance (Rs 3200).
