In my latest Video Tutorial, you’ll see how to create a dramatic black smokey eye look. I’ve paired this look with soft bronzed skin and a warm nude lip color. The look is perfect for parties and goes well with Ethnic as well as western outfits.
Talented actress Anushka Sharma’s traditional avatar in a Manish Malhotra sari and sultry smoky eyes combination at the recently held Star Guild Awards night caught everyone’s attention. It was a flawless, elegant look from the consummate diva. And you too can achieve it by following these simple guideline.
1. While working with dark eye shadows and smoky eyes, it’s always a good idea to do the eye makeup before the foundation. The reason is simple; any fallout from the eye shadow can spoil the foundation.
2. Start by priming the eyes. Next, apply a thick layer of black kohl on the waterlines, along the lash lines and on the entire eye lid. Take the kohl right into the tear duct to rim the eyes completely. I prefer using long stay kohl like Lakme Absolute Ultimate Kohl to prevent smudging/bleeding.
