Bobbi Brown City Collection : New York | Review

Bobbi Brown City Collection - New York

Hi everyone! Today I’m reviewing the New York pieces from the Bobbi Brown City Collection for you. This limited edition collection is in collaboration with illustrator Richard Haines who has designed the beautiful packaging of the palettes. The collection is divided into 3 sections, one for each of Bobbi’s favorite cities – New York, London and Paris. There are 3 eye/cheek palettes, 3 limited edition shades of Luxe lipsticks and 3 limited edition shades of gel eye liners in the collection, one inspired by the colors and vibe of each city. I received the pieces from the New York collection for review and I’ve been loving using these these past few weeks! Here’s a closer look at the New York collection.

5 High-End products worth the splurge!

Hey everyone!

Today I’m sharing a few favorite high-end, luxury makeup items that I feel are worth the big bucks! This is by no means a list of all of my favorite high end beauty items but just a few that I have been loving lately. Do share your luxury beauty favorites in the comments section below!

1. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Rs 3000)

This is my favorite foundation and that is saying something because I’ve tried a ton of them! Its a classic liquid foundation – neither too runny nor too thick which gives medium-high coverage and a flawless natural finish. It makes my skin look amazing every time and it stays put throughout the day without oxidising or turning greasy on my skin. It photographs really well too which is why its perfect for special occasions, especially weddings. Highly recommended! Full review here.

2. YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipsticks ($37)

I couldn’t NOT mention the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks here. They are simply the prettiest lipsticks around (look at the gorgeous gold packaging!) and the formula is wonderful. The classic range is creamier while the Shine range has a glossier finish and a slightly sheerer formula. It still packs on plenty of pigment and gives a gorgeous, luscious look to the lips. The formula is buttery soft and it hydrates better than any lip balm I’ve used. It also smells like mango which happens to be my favorite fruit! If you like pinks, do check out #17 Rose in Tension.
