5 High-End products worth the splurge!

Hey everyone!

Today I’m sharing a few favorite high-end, luxury makeup items that I feel are worth the big bucks! This is by no means a list of all of my favorite high end beauty items but just a few that I have been loving lately. Do share your luxury beauty favorites in the comments section below!

1. Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Rs 3000)

This is my favorite foundation and that is saying something because I’ve tried a ton of them! Its a classic liquid foundation – neither too runny nor too thick which gives medium-high coverage and a flawless natural finish. It makes my skin look amazing every time and it stays put throughout the day without oxidising or turning greasy on my skin. It photographs really well too which is why its perfect for special occasions, especially weddings. Highly recommended! Full review here.

2. YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipsticks ($37)

I couldn’t NOT mention the YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks here. They are simply the prettiest lipsticks around (look at the gorgeous gold packaging!) and the formula is wonderful. The classic range is creamier while the Shine range has a glossier finish and a slightly sheerer formula. It still packs on plenty of pigment and gives a gorgeous, luscious look to the lips. The formula is buttery soft and it hydrates better than any lip balm I’ve used. It also smells like mango which happens to be my favorite fruit! If you like pinks, do check out #17 Rose in Tension. Best High End Foundations for Dry Skin?

Hey everyone!

I’ve received some queries regarding High End foundations for Dry Skin recently and I thought of doing a post on it! While I don’t have dry skin myself, I have tried some of the foundations I mention in this post for times when my skin gets on the combination side. Here are my recommendations for High End foundations for Dry Skin. Please feel free to add your own in the comments below!

1. MAC Face and Body Foundation (Rs 2000, USD $27 )

This is a very runny, sheer foundation that is a big hit with makeup artists and consumers as well! It glides very easily on the skin due to  its very liquid texture, doesn’t cling to dry patches and has a dewy finish that would work great with dry skin. It makes the skin look natural and glowing! You can layer it to build the coverage. The best thing though is that it dries down to a transfer proof finish (it is designed to be used on the body as well so won’t stain clothes) and wears quite well! Available in India. Reviewed HERE.

2. YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation (Rs 3600, USD $57)

This is one of the best products from YSL’s makeup range! This is a light weight foundation that gives light to medium coverage and a beautiful radiant finish. Makes the skin look healthy and natural with a soft glow. I have tried a sample of this and while I loved the illuminating finish, it was a little rich for my oily skin. I think it would work better for normal to dry skin.  Available in India.
