Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks : Swatches

Hi everyone! Maybelline India has launched the Creamy Matte lipsticks last month. I’ve swatched 11 of the shades in the video below. Hope you find the video helpful! These lipsticks have a creamy texture, excellent color pay off and a soft matte finish. They are quite comfortable to wear, almost a bit hydrating which is rare for a matte lipstick. After doing back to back lip swatches, my lips generally get really dry and parched but with these, my lips felt more plumped and comfortable than when I started doing the swatches. The wear time is really good too, an easy 5+ hours, even with the nude shades.

These are priced at Rs 575 each and have some lovely colors!

I’ve shared some of my favorites below. You can buy these online at Amazon.in.

Maybelline the Rock Nudes Palette | Tutorial

Hi everyone! Maybelline has just launched a new eye shadow palette, the Rock Nudes palette. This is a predominantly cool-toned palette with a few glitter shades, balanced out with satin-y colors. Even though the quality isn’t the best, you can do a few different looks with this palette. The pigmentation is average and the colors are not too intense, which makes it a little easier to use for beginners. The glitter shades were a bit dry and chalky but most of the satin and pearl finish colors were smooth in texture. I didn’t love this palette to be honest but it is priced quite affordably at Rs 899 and is available online as well as across Maybelline counters.

I’ve done a glamorous smokey eye look using this palette. Check out the video below!

NEW! Maybelline BB Cushion Foundation

Hi everyone! Maybelline India has been introducing lots of new products in the past couple of months and their latest new launch is the BB Cushion Foundation. I just received a sample of this so I thought I’d do a quick first impressions post.

The Cushion Foundation trend started in South Korea and while cushion makeup is catching up quickly in the west, there aren’t many options in the Indian market yet. The only ones I know of are by Lancome and Innisfree. I do have the Lancome one, in case any of you would like a review. I also have the one by The Body Shop which I got from my UK Trip back in June but it hasn’t launch in India yet. It is very good though and I’ve used it quite a bit.

The idea behind a cushion foundation is ease of application. A foundation soaked sponge or ‘cushion’ replaces the traditional botle and a soft padded applicator is used to directly tap the foundation onto the skin after pressing it on the cushion. The cushion releases foundation on the applicator as you apply pressure and its easy to apply and blend on the skin with a few taps.

Maybelline V-Face Contour Duo Stick, Powder, Blush | Review

Hi everyone! Today I’m reviewing the V-Face contouring range that was launched by Maybelline India a couple of months back. The range contains a duo stick, a duo powder and a contour blush. I’ve used the duo stick in my videos a few times and it is by far my favorite product from this range. Read on for the full review of each of these three products.

The duo powder contains a segment of lighter powder in the centre, with a darker shade surrounding it. I got the shade Light-Medium (which on online websites is listed as Beige), which ended up being too pale for my complexion. While the texture is smooth, the colors don’t do anything to my face, being so close to my skin tone. I’m a little disappointed with the shade range. I think they should have introduced 1-2 deeper shades as I can’t see these light colors working at all on most Indian complexions. Available online at Amazon.in.
