Hi everyone! Today I’m reviewing two hair products from the French brand, Yves Rocher. I’ve been trying out their Brilliance Shine Shampoo and Radiance Rinsing Vinegar since the past few weeks and here’s my review of these two products.

Hi everyone! Lakmé Salon has introduced a range of new services as part of their new Illuminate menu and I visited the salon at Bandra few days back to try out some of the new skin, hair and nail services. The Lakmé experts have interpreted the Illuminate theme with a fresh perspective and we see some sparkle, some color and shine in the new hair, nail and makeup looks. In addition to these bold and colorful looks, there are a few skincare services too like the Illuminate facial and Insta Sheen Facial. You can request the Illuminate catalog when you visit the salon or have a look at here.
I opted to try out the Copper Dust Manicure, the Candy Flush Hair Color and the Perfect Radiance Illuminate Facial for my review. All these services are available across Lakmé Salons in India and in Lakmé Absolute Salons in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. You can find your nearest Lakmé Salon here and explore the different services offered here.
Ever been confused about which hair tool to pick? I remember the first time I was picking a curling iron, I was so lost and couldn’t decide whether to pick a conical wand, a thin barrel or a wide one. With Roots CurlPro 501, you get 5 different tongs so you can create just about any kind of curl or wave! Whether you like tight, springy curls or loose natural waves, this one does it all!
The Rene Furterer Melaleuca Anti-Dandruff Shampoo comes in a tube packaging with a flip open cap. The shampoo is a yellow colored liquid which is slightly runnier than most shampoos. Melaleuca means tea tree and this contains tea tree oil as one of the anti-dandruff agents. Hence, it smells like tea tree oil, a herbal, slightly clinical scent. The shampoo lathers fairly well but not too heavily. Unfortunately, its not free from sulphates and contains SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulphate) which is not as harsh as SLS but nonetheless, not the most desirable foaming agent in a shampoo.
The shampoo cleans well and regular use does help purify and cleanse the scalp. Whether it be product buildup on the scalp or dry, flaking dandruff, this helps eliminate it with regular use without drying out the hair. Mass brand anti-dandruff shampoos can dry out the hair leaving it a frizzy mess but this shampoo leaves my hair feeling clean, bouncy and fresh. It contains safflower seed oilwhich I think helps in keeping the drying part out of the picture and it also contains Zinc Pyrithione which curbs the growth of fungus. This compound is also found in most cheap dandruff shampoos so its a particularly exotic or natural ingredient.
