This is the first time I’m doing an empties post. I just realized I’d used up quite a few products during March and I thought of doing an ‘empties’ post while I was figuring out my monthly favorites post for March.

Apart from bath/body/skin care products, for the first time I used up an eye pencil - Lakme Eyeconic Kajal and I realized I’d gone through it while I was in the car doing my makeup while heading to Fashion week! I’m not a huge fan of kajals but I really like this formula and use it on the upper lash line often, which is why it got used up fully . Have you ever finished up a makeup product?

If you have sensitive skin that tends to break out often or gets moody every time there is a change in the weather, you should give these 3 face washes are try! Each one of these is very gentle yet very effective on the skin! I thought these would only work on my winter combination skin but its spring now and they still work pretty great for my normal-oily/acne prone skin!

1. Vichy Purete Thermale Purifying Foaming Water Cleanser 

The water transforms to foam when pumped out, cleans the skin well without drying it and makes it soft and radiant. It is suitable for all skin types though I would prefer something stronger for the summers when my skin is terribly oily. But for the rest of the year, this one works excellently for me!

2. Forest Essentials Kashmiri Saffron and Neem Delicate facial Cleanser

It is a gel based gentle cleanser with the most exotic, luxurious delicate scent. It lathers mildly, cleanses well and leaves the skin soft, smooth andglowing. It doesn’t dry out the skin and will work for most skin types except super-oily/acne prone skin which needs something stronger and medicated. My combination winter skin loves it! Highly recommended

Forest Essentials Kashmiri Saffron and Neem Delicate facial Cleanser

I get lots of queries for highlighter recommendations and I thought I’d put together a post with my top 3 Highlighters for dusky skin. I tend to prefer liquid based highlighters a lot more as they give a more natural look when blended over liquid foundation. Warm gold/copper/bronze based highlighters look much better than pink/pearl based highlighters as they match with the warm undertones of Indian skin – especially on duskier beauties. While there are no doubt loads of other highlighters out there in the market, here are my top picks from my own collection -
