Hi everyone! Today I’m reviewing the Chanel Joues Contraste Blush in shade Malice which is a lovely warm peach toned color. I have previously tried the Cream Blush in Revelation and it is one of my favorite blushes of all time (I’ve hit pan on a blush for the first time!). The Joues Contraste powder blush formula is the one of the silkiest I’ve tried and truly feels worth the price tag.
Sigma is well-known for their fantastic brushes and I’ve been trying out some of their makeup lately. They recently launched the Nightlife Collection in collaboration with Brazilian Blogger Camila Coelho and I was sent a few products for review. I dug into the eye shadow palette ($39, approx. Rs 2600) pretty much the same day I received it and I absolutely love it! The palette contains an amazing variety of colors and you can create endless looks with it.
This spring-summer, Clinique has launched a few new lip products to their Pop line – the Glaze, Lacquer and Pop Oil and today I’m reviewing the Pop Oil in a juicy red color – Poppy Glow. This is a lip and cheek gel-oil that adds a soft flush of color and is perfect for everyday wear.
Today I’m sharing some of my favorite high end blushes with you. I think each of the shades I’ve picked out here are very flattering for Indian complexions and I find myself reaching for these over and over again. Don’t forget to share your favorites in the comments below!
1. MAC Matte Blush : Melba
Melba is a one of the best blushes for Indian complexions in my opinion. Its a dusty peach color that is neither too peachy nor too earth toned and adds just the right amount of color to the cheeks. The matte formula is smooth and easy to blend, gives a natural looking finish and stays well. One of most loved MAC blushes for sure!
2. MAC Satin Blush : Fleur Power
If memory serves me right, this was my first MAC blush and one that I’ve recommended to countless people. If you’re looking for a pretty pink, look no further. This one of the shades that look fantastic on all complexions. The color is brightening but not too bright and livens up the face. If you’re feeling tired, this is the blush that would brighten up a dull complexion and add a rosy glow to the cheeks. The formula is soft and smooth, blends with ease and well pigmented so its best to use a light hand for application. The satin finish looks natural and the color stays on quite well too.
I was reorganising my makeup collection last weekend and I realised I had a couple of NARS products which I hadn’t reviewed! NARS is one of my favorite high end brands and I bought a few products before moving back to India from Japan last year. One of the items I picked was the Laguna Illuminator. I had a tough time choosing between Orgasm (peachy gold) and Laguna and ultimately chose this.
