Some of you may recall a series called the Budget Monday series where I used to talk about affordable beauty products. In today’s feature, I am going to talk about my favorite budget beauty brand – Maybelline and my Top 10 favorite products from the brand!
I am a big fan of the Maybelline Color Show nail polishes – the regular range as well as the Glitter Mania range! They are great quality and super affordable! Hands down best budget beauty polishes in my opinion! Some of my favorite shades are Coral Craze, Berry Sexy, Red Carpet and Pink Champagne. (Buy Online)
I tried a highlighting concealer (review here) for the first time and absolutely LOVED it! The concealer cum highlighter brightens up shadows under the eyes and can be used along the cheekbones as well for a subtle glow. It gives medium coverage and looks very natural. The formula is easy to blend, doesn’t get cakey or patchy and stays well throughout the day in the under eye area. I love a natural glow on the skin and this one is great for that! For your reference, I use the shade Honey. (Buy Online)
For quick everyday makeup, I prefer lip glosses over lipsticks and Lip polish in shade Glam 13 is the perfect everyday peachy pink shade (review here) for Indian girls. The formula is slightly thick but doesn’t feel sticky or uncomfortable on the lips. It feels very hydrating and comforting and provides enough coverage to even out my pigmented lips. LOVE this! Lakme 9-to-5 Lip range is one my favorites when it comes to budget lip products and today I’m sharing an excellent basic red lip liner (Red Alert) that every woman should have in her makeup kit! I have previously reviewed a fabulous neutral Brick Rose from the same range.
Few weeks back I decided to explore some Japanese drugstore beauty brands and here are a few things I picked up! The brands featured here include Kate (by Kanebo), Kanebo Media,Shiseido Aqualabel, Shiseido Integrate Gracy and Canmake. Shiseido and Kanebo are the big players in the Japanese market and have many sub-brands which are available in drugstores. While the core Shiseido Makeup brand (which is internationally available) is priced high-end like the other parts of the world, the many sub-brands like Aqualabel, Integrate etc. are more affordable.
The major part of my haul is from Kate which has an impressive makeup lineup (and the store was running a 35% discount!). Enjoy the pics!
Today on the Budget Monday feature, I have a great lip pencil to show you – Lakme 9-to-5 Lip Liner in Brick Rose. Lakme recently revamped their entire 9-to-5 lip range, launching an excellent range of matte lipsticks (in gorgeous shades) along with 6 lip liners. I loved the lipsticks! And the lip liners, even more so!
