I always buy my NYX products from cherryculture.com sales and they always have these great 40% off sales at least twice a year! The spring sale is on from 3rd March to 8th March 2015 (use coupon code MMM2015 during checkout to avail the discount). Their shipping charges aren’t the cheapest (they ship worldwide) but with the discount code, you get a good bit of discount so the shipping charges don’t hurt as much!
I love, LOVE NYX products, its definitely one of the best budget beauty brands out there. I have loads of products from the brand and here are my top recommendations –
1. NYX Blushes ($6.00)
Their powder and cream blushes are fantastic though I prefer their powder blushes because of my oilier skin type. The blushes have a silky texture, blend well and come in a variety of finishes and pigmentation. Here are my top recommendations for blushes – Pinched (warm coral with gold sheen), Silky Rose (deep matte rose, review here), Amber (dusty rose), Spice (brownish pink, review here), Mocha (warm medium pink) . Two great shades that are as contour shades for medium to dark skin – Stone and Cocoa (Swatches here).
My second tutorial in the Valentines Day/Date Night series is a glamorous red lip look paired with a coppery brown eye. This is a evening look that is quite versatile and would go with any neutral outfit and add instant oomph to any look. I have used mostly budget products that are easily available in India. Hope you enjoy the video!

Because the Japanese ladies love a dewy glow, you can find cream blushes in multiple brands at the Japanese drugstore. I recently stumbled on the brand called Visee (a Kose brand) which seemed to have some lovely products. I ended up picking up the Lip/Cheek Cream in shade RD-06 Berry Red (1000 JPY = Rs 525) which looks shocking in the pan but comes out really pretty on the skin.
I’ve always had trouble with hybrid products. If they are good on the cheeks, they would be drying on the lips and if rich enough for the lips, too oily for the cheeks. This is the first time something works equally well for both lips and cheeks! Perhaps my very dry cheeks this winter have something to do with that as well! The formula has a gel like texture, it feels comfortable on the lips and gives a really pretty reddish tint to the lips and cheeks – very wintery!
