Cranberry + Dusty Rose Indian Festive Makeup

Hi everyone!ย Today I’m sharing the breakdown of this cranberry and dusty rose makeup look I tried a few days back. Unfortunately something went wrong with the video footage so I couldn’t upload the tutorial. But since so many of you loved this on when I posted it on Instagram, I thought I would do a blog post sharing the full product list with you!

Products used for the EYES :

  1. NYX Vivid Brights cream eye shadow – Bad Blood (wine red matte color – used it as a base all over lid)
  2. MAC Folie eye shadow (matte brown eye shadow – patted this over the NYX cream eye shadow to tone down the red and make it darker, browner. Used this along the lower lash line too)
  3. Miss Claire Baked eye shadow no.24 (stunning cranberry eye shadow in shimmer finish – patted this over the centre bit of the eye lid using a flat finish. Its not easy to find everywhere but if you find this in any beauty store, grab it! Its very affordable too, under Rs 200)
  4. MAC Feline Kohl – along waterlines
  5. Freedom Brow Pomade – Ash Brown (for filling the brows)
  6. MAC In Extreme Dimension Waterproof Mascara (gives lots of length and really nice volume, one of the best from MAC as far as mascaras go!)
  7. Random unbranded false eye lashes

Products used for the FACE :

  1. The Body Shop Instaglow CC Cream – Warm Glow (as base all over the face, makes the skin slightly bronzed and tanner. I used this because the foundation I used doesn’t have enough warmth in it so using a warm base underneath helps prevent the foundation looking ashy)
  2. L’Oreal Paris Lumi Cushion Foundation – N4 (blends effortlessly with a beautiful glowing finish, medium coverage, really liking it so far! Just wish they had more of golden undertone shades)
  3. Maybelline the master contour palette – Medium/Deep (for contouring cheekbones, jaw and nose), used the Highlighter shade from the same palette along top of the cheekbones, top of the nose and on the cupid’s bow.
  4. Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana Powder (really nice lightweight non-cakey loose powder)
  5. Milani Baked Blush – Dolce Pink (warm pink with very fine gold shimmer, LOVE this!)
  6. Makeup Revolution Pro Illuminate Setting Spray (only used it twice so far, need to use it a bit more before I can review it)

Products used for the LIPS :

  1. Lakme Absolute Luxe Matte Argan Lipstick – Mauveness (mauve-plum-rosey kind of color, I am obsessed with it, cannot get enough of it. Recommendย Highly recommend this everyone, especially for medium/wheatish/dusky skin)
  2. NYX Lip Lingerie – Cabaret Show (dusty nude-y rose color, needed to make the above less pink and more neutral so added this on top, the formula is non-drying, very long lasting and has a lovely soft matte finish).

My kurta is from BIBA, earrings – can’t remember where I got them from ๐Ÿ™ ย My lenses are Aryan 2-tone Brown. Used to get them from lenskart.com but can’t find them there anymore sadly.

  2. Hi Ankita, i have been following you from a long time and become your admirer. I bought avene cleanser on your recommendation for oily/combination skin and have never stopped using it. Since i belong to the same skin family as yours, your reviews help me a lot. I was looking to buy a perfect lip shade and now I am planning to buy this lakme one as you highly recommend it. Just wanted to know how it the color payoff since i have dark lip line. Also, i have dark eye circles and creases, can you suggest some good concealer?

  4. Hello Ankita!
I really love this look and I hope you’re able to upload a video of it as well.
I’ve been battling a mild greyish cast always plaguing my concealer work (despite using a colour corrector!) so I totally admire how flawlessly you always manage to cover your dark circles! I’m curious, have you used anything apart from a CC cream and a foundation in this creating this particular look?

  5. Hi Ankit, what a beautiful look. I saw ur insta post last night and decided that I will read ur blog first thing when i wake up. I wish i will be able to re-create even 50% of this look. 10. I always used to wonder why you weren’t posting like you used to but had no idea that you were feeling uninspired ๐Ÿ™ please don’t feel that way.. You have no idea about how many people love your blogs, it’s just that we don’t comment on everything. The Tokyo time blogs are particularly special in my memory since I had started following you around that time. I read a lot of blogs but when it comes to purchasing I do it not based on other blogs but on yours. That’s how much I love and trust your reviews. I have purchased a few items from other blog recommendations and regret a few but never ever have I not fallen in love with the stuff I buy based on your recommendations. I don’t buy a lot, but when I do I always check your blog posts to see if you have vetoed it. There’s something really special about you that I haven’t seen in others in that you are really humble and you give honest reviews. I never see you bashing any brand either, you just say things as it is. YouTube is really nice and we get to see you in person but your blog posts are always special and I urge you to post more blog posts since those are very easy to read when one is in a time crunch. Please do keep blogging for your loyal followers. We always love you ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’Ÿ

  14. Hello Ankita, there is something about you which makes us wanna trust your reviews. You call a spade a spade. Yep there was one instance where you did YouTube video on some product called AVIANCE for Nykaa that seamed like an ad and was soo unreal, apart from that I love your review like I’ve been using the wrong moisturiser al these years for my highly oily acne prone sensitive skin and after reading your blog on moisturizer picked the right one .
