Hi everyone! The much awaited Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder collaboration is now in stores in India. This limited edition, specially curated collection features products that embody Victoria Beckham’s style and what she likes to have in her collection. In this post, I’m sharing my thoughts on the 6-color eye shadow palette, Java Sun Bronzer, Moroccan Heat Lip Gloss and Victoria Lip Pencil. This pieces were used to create the New York look, one of the 4 iconic looks inspired by her favorite cities.
The black and gold packaging of this collection is very luxurious and elegant. I especially like the palettes with their textures outer packaging and slim gold garnish. The bronzer in shade Java Sun has a matte finish and translates to an earthy peach color on my skin. It adds just enough warmth, color and dimension to the cheeks, without taking away the focus from the eyes or lips. The texture is silky smooth and the powder blends beautifully into the skin. The bronzer is priced at Rs 5000.
The eye shadow palette features 6 shades in a pearlescent finish. The textures are lovely – smooth & buttery with excellent color pay off. The swatches below show how incredibly pigmented these shadows are. And you can use them wet as well for a more intense finish! The only downside is that they crease a little after about 3 hours of wear so I would recommend using a base underneath or using them with wet brush to prevent premature creasing. In terms of color, this has a beautiful balance of neutrals and color.
The palette is priced at Rs 7000. It contains the following shades –
Fired Sapphire – a shocking metallic blue | Blonde Cumin – a soft, gold-hued nude
Metal Saffron – a warm, golden metallic honey | Burnished Sage – a burnt metallic intense green
Grey Amber – a smoky charcoal grey | Black Nutmeg – a shimmery copper
Victoria Beckham loves a classic nude lip and the two lip products I received from the collection channel the nude lip perfectly. The Lip Pencil in Victoria is a peachy-neutral, creamy lip pencil while Lip Gloss in Moroccan Heat has a similar hue, just a little lighter in color. The gloss has a slightly thick and sticky texture which everyone may not love. But it feels very VERY moisturizing though which I really like, especially in the current weather which has made my lips very dry. The combination of these two lip products results in the perfect nude lip for my medium complexion.
The Lip Pencil is priced at Rs 2100 while the Gloss retails for Rs 2500.
This is the look that I created using these products, inspired by the New York look. I used the shade Fired Sapphire from the palette on the lid with Grey Amber along the lower lash line and Burnished Sage in the outer corner. I purposely kept the eye look a little unblended, to give it a slight editorial touch. I used Java Sun Bronzer along the cheeks and Victoria Lip Pencil all over the lips. To finish off the lip, I used Moroccan Heat Lip Gloss just on the centre of the lips.
Apart from the 4 products mentioned in this post, the collection also features single eye shadows, eye foils, lipsticks, highlighters (powder and creme) and eye pencils. This is a limited edition collection that has only launched in selected Estee Lauder stores – Palladium (Mumbai), Select City Walk (Delhi) and Quest Mall (Kolkata). So if you’d like to try out something, do check it out before it sells out!
Hope you had a good weekend.
