Hi everyone! The Body Shop India recently introduced the Oils of Life Sleeping Cream to their Oils Of Life range and I’ve been testing this out for the past couple of weeks. As a big fan of the Oils of Life range, I was really excited to try out this new addition to the lineup! Price : Rs 2495 for 80 ml.

The Oils Of Life range is a nourishing range of products enriched with 3 beautiful, nutritive oils – black cumin seed oil, rosehip seed oil and camellia oil. The Sleeping Cream, as the name suggests, is a night cream that helps moisturize and rejuvenate the skin overnight. The cream comes in a heavy glass jar packaging and has the same signature amber color as the rest of the Oils Of Life range. The texture of the cream is lovely! It has a bouncy, cushiony, gel-cream consistency that would work beautifully for people with normal to oily/combination skin. I love the herbaceous scent of the cream (its a bit on the stronger side though!), it feels very relaxing and natural. The cream nourishes well, has a non-greasy and pleasant feel and gives a fresh boost to the skin. If you have dry skin though, I’d suggest going for the facial oil from the range instead because this cream is on the lighter side in terms of nourishment and may not provide sufficient moisture for very dry skin.
Those who like essential oils in their skin care would love this as it contains several of them like Lavender, Rosemary, Geranium, Roman Chamomile, Marjoram Leaf, Orange Peel and Lavandin. The combination of these essentials oil and the 3 star precious oils from the range helps in repairing, nourishing and soothing the skin. If you have very sensitive skin though that doesn’t react well to fragrance, I’d steer you away from this range as the essential oils may irritate your skin.

The cream also claims to provide firming benefits but since I don’t have any sagging or wrinkles yet, I’m not sure how well it lives up to the claim. It does contain Sodium Hyaluronate however which is excellent for moisturizing and plumping the skin due to its unique ability to absorb and hold water.
For me, this works as a nice night time moisturizer that’s not too heavy, has a relaxing, natural scent and does a decent job of moisturizing the skin. I haven’t noted any miraculous changes on my facial skin though and if I have to choose just one product from the range, it would be the Facial Oil. I like this cream but the facial oil seemed to work better for me. And I prefer using oils anyway for my evening skin care.
If you prefer lightweight cream/gel textures though, the Oils Of Life Sleeping Cream is a great way to add some precious oils into your skincare regime!

Nice review Ankita. your reviews always helpful for us
Have never tried Bodyshop Oils of Life range.. But this looks tempting though.. Using facial oils add such an amazing glow to the skin.
is this good for acne skin which is also oily?
sounds decent and is very expensive 🙁
I wish it was a pure gel consistency as creamy gel ones also cause acne on my skin. For me it is a skip as I am too skeptical to try anything on my skin..
Hi Ankita 🙂 your reviews are always helpful for me thnx alot!! Hi Pranita, if you’re already using the oil, I don’t think you would need this cream. 🙂
Thnx alot Ankita for the reply 🙂 ur posts n videos are very helpful thnx again 🙂
I always like The body shop products… I also prefer oils over cream in my night care regime.
HiAnkita. Thanks for the review. I was confused will I use it or not. After ur wonderful comments I am surely going to use it. Can u suggest day cream for me. I had combination skin .
Hi Sneha, do you have any particular concerns like breakouts, pigmentation or wrinkles etc.?
I love the Bodyshop Oils Of Life range! Great post
i havent tried this range yet. it sounds really nice though.
On me more than creams, oils work. I better invest in that. Thanks for the review 🙂
Hi Ankita nice review 🙂 I am a big fan of ur reviews. Can you suggest some day cream for me. I use Teatree day cream but I find it little drying after my sunscreen. I have used seaweed day cream before and that was too oily for me. I have open pores and acne marks on my skin.
Hi, have you tried the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo? It should work for your skin type.
Great review & pictures di. I have oily skin so I think this would work for me. But tbs products don’t fit in my budget at all. 🙁
you are gorgeous! I dont think any lipstick shade can look bad on you You look a bit like kylie jenner.
but i want to tell u that i keep seeing fake online ads for fair skin with your pic…you should file a complaint against it.
I have seen a these ads too and many times ..
Thanks for the review Ankita! I was in two minds to try out this one or the oil..I would be opting for the oil instead 🙂
I love the packaging.. This one sounds really nice!
Hie ankita loreal has launched mat magique 12hr foundation. Please do a review on that.
Looks absolutely luxurious… I’m surely going to give it a try. Thanks for the review. 😀
A very good suggestion ankita. Thanks a lot..really love your channel…i am definitely going to try it
I am finding that for most of your blogs lately, alot of the reviews are based around just a few brands. Is it possible for you to review many other brands (e.g. benefit cosmetics, Too faced, EL, Lancome, etc.)…I am always finding the same names popping up multiple times and its getting kinda boring 🙁
This Sleeping Cream is a good news for girls like me with excessive oily skin. Generally night creams make skin extra greasy over night especially during humid summer days. Thanks for the review Ankita.
Thanks for the review Ankita. I will try out the facial oil instead.
Wow.. that sounds amazing, would love to give it a try!
Hey hun, you always astound me with your looks. You look so pretty. And bodyshop oil is a must have for skin care.
This looks like a great product.
Ankita please suggest me a good night and day cream to start with. I am not much into skin care but lately I have felt the need of starting a skin care routine. I have oily skin. My skin is also prone to pimples.. Should I start with TBS products or La Roche ones.
Thanks for the comprehensive review! If I ever try something from the Oils of Life range, I will definitely check this out over the oil, since my skin tends to be on the oilier side already.
I love how light yet hydrating this cream is. Because the weather is so erratic these days and it gets hot and humid, I have been skipping the oil and using just the cream.
This product from the body shop sounds just awesome..i wanna try it for sure.
Thanks for the review. Going to try it soon…
Sounds great ! Im going to try this one:)
I have been looking for a night and this one sounds good. I will give it a try.
Hi Ankita ,
Could you please suggest which one is good out of body shop oils of life intensely revitalizing gel cream or innisfree orchid enriched cream for improving the texture of skin?
