Amazon Monsoon Beauty Store Haul

Hi everyone! I was recently browsing the beauty section at Amazon and discovered the Monsoon Beauty Store, a specially curated store for monsoon related skin and hair care problems. Since I was already on the lookout for similar items, I was pretty relieved to see products categorized exactly how we like to buy them during the rainy season! The store contains over 300 products from 40+ brands and they are grouped under the following categories – Fight Acne & Dull Skin, Frizz Free Hair, Clean Hands & Feet and Tackle Infections & Itching. Since these are common problems that each of us face during monsoons, it makes the shopping experience really quick and easy.

I explored each of these categories a little bit and ended up picking the following products.

I’ve been thinking of including Rosemary Essential Oil in my hair care routine for a while now and finally picked this oil from Soulflower. Rosemary is a herb that is known to be really effective against hair fall and since I’ve been having quite a bit of it, I’m really looking forward to incorporating this into my routine. Because this is an essential oil, it needs to be mixed with a carrier oil and the mixture can then be massaged into the scalp. Rosemary stimulates the hair follicles and helps reduce hair fall. The bottle comes with an optional pump which I fitted onto my bottle straightaway as it makes it so much easier to use. Price : Rs 650 for 30 ml. Buy here.

For the body, I was on the lookout for a new shower wash, something with a little exfoliation and I remembered using the Thermal Spa Renewal Wash from Palmolive during my college days. This one is quite creamy but cleans well and I love the mild coconut scent! It’s quite budget friendly as well. Price : Rs 160 for 250 ml. Buy here.

Normally I don’t use a dedicated foot cream and tend to slap on whatever body lotion I’m using on my feet as well. But I spotted this Peppermint Oil Foot Butter from Dirty Works and couldn’t resist the colorful packaging. I’ve used a few body care products from Dirty Works a few years ago and loved how they smelled! This one smells more like Tea Tree rather than Peppermint, though it does contain both. I think the inclusion of these anti-bacterial, purifying essential oils is great during the monsoons when fungal infections etc. are on the rise. Price : Rs 450 for 100 ml. Buy here.

And lastly, I picked out a mask for my skin. I recently finished up some of my face masks and thought of trying something new, preferably something aimed at cleansing the skin and eliminating blackheads. The brand Prakarta caught my eye and since I’ve never tried anything from them before, I decided to go with the Radiant Skin Face Masque. It comes in a nice glass jar which has a very homey and organic feel to the it. The masque is basically an ubtan powder that you can mix with water/rosewater/any medium of your choice and apply. The ingredient list looks good with lots of natural cleansers like multani mitti, orange peel powder and kaolin and I can’t wait to try this out! Price : Rs 280 for 60g. Buy here.

I have used the thermal spa renewal wash but didn’t like the smell that much. Otherwise it was a nice body wash. I’d like to try the peppermint foot butter. Seems like Amazon has a good stock for monsoon beauty concerns.
