The Body Shop Olive Shower Gel

The Body Shop Olive Shower Gel

While the Strawberry shower gel is a cult favorite, I think the Olive gel deserves just as much love! I absolutely love the scent of this soap-free shower gel. It smells fruity, fresh with a slightly spicy under note. The scent is not overpowering and not overly sweet or fruity. The gel lathers well enough to cleanse well but doesn’t strip the skin dry. Do give this a sniff when you’re at the TBS counter next time.

The Body Shop Oils of Life Essence Lotion

The Body Shop Oils of Life Essence Lotion

The Oils of Life Facial Oil was a runaway hit as soon as it launched but what you may not know is that the Oils of Life range has some other fabulous products as well. The Essence lotion from this range has totally changed my skincare game and if you have dehydrated or dry skin, this would be a great inclusion in your skin care routine. This watery essence adds a thin veil of hydration to the skin and helps the skin stay supple and hydrated for a much longer time. I quite like the herbaceous scent and the golden amber colored packaging.

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Body Butter

The Body Shop Glazed Apple Body Butter

No mention of The Body Shop would be complete without a mention of their iconic body butters. The Glazed Apple variant came out last Christmas but you can still get it in stores. It has the most delicious apple scent which is tangy, sweet and fresh at the same time. If you like fruity scents, you would love this! The great thing about the TBS body butters is that they keep your skin hydrated for a full 24 hours and the scents lingers nicely on the skin for a few hours after application. I personally think the Glazed Apple range should be made permanent!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-in Moisture Mask

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-in Moisture Mask

The Vitamin E range is excellent for anyone with dry, dehydrated skin and my personal favorite from the range is the sink-in moisture mask. It has a jelly-like consistency and feels watery and cool on the skin. It gives an instant burst of moisture to the skin and softens up parched skin within minutes. You just to need apply a thin layer of this, keep it on for about 10 minutes and then rinse off. I have combination skin which doesn’t like thick, heavy moisturizers so I like to rely on masks like these for instant, non-greasy hydration. I think they should do a travel sized tube for this, it would be excellent for travel, particularly during long haul flights which tend to dehydrate the skin.

The Body Shop Aloe Gentle Face Wash

The Body Shop Aloe Gentle Face Wash

I was on the lookout for a mild face wash and came across the Aloe Gentle Face wash which is meant for sensitive skin. The pump dispenses a delicate, mousse-like foam which cleanses the skin without drying or irritating it. The face wash doesn’t contain any fragrance which is a common irritant in skincare. The entire Aloe range is great for sensitive skin, especially dry or dehydrated sensitive skin.

The Body Shop Baked Bronzer – 02 Warm Glow

The Body Shop is known for its fabulous bath & body and skincare products but they have a really nice range of makeup products as well. The baked bronzer in shade Warm Glow is a lovely, subtle highlighter for Indian skin. It adds a delicate and soft glow to the skin and its perfect for ladies who don’t want anything too shimmery.

Cleansing wipes may not be the best way to cleanse but they definitely come in handy when you’re traveling or feeling just too tired/lazy for a proper cleanse. The Vitamin E wipes remove makeup fairly well and leave the skin feeling nourished and clean. I really like the soothing scent as well.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Lotion

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Lotion

The Fuji Green Tea range is one of the best by The Body Shop in my opinion and I absolutely love the fresh scent of this range. The scrub and shower gel are quite popular but for me, the body lotion is the hero of this range. It feels light and fresh on the skin but still moisturizes very well. The best part – the refreshing tea scent actually lingers on your skin for a good 4-5 hours after application and I love catching a whiff of that lovely scent during the day.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion

If you have acne or breakout issues, chances are that you’ve probably tried the Tea Tree Oil from The Body Shop. I have used pretty much the entire Tea Tree range and I think the Blemish Fade Night Lotion is one of the best products from the range. The lotion has a very light consistency and not only does it help in drying up breakouts but helps fade marks as well. If you’re struggling with blemishes, do give this a try!

The Body Shop Face and Body Brush

The Body Shop Face and Body Brush

One of my oldest purchases from The Body Shop was their Face & Body Brush which is great for powder application. The bristles are extremely soft and silky and pick up powder well. The slightly flat shape is great for patting powder onto the skin and you can use this with pressed as well as loose powder! The brush doesn’t shed at all and is going to last you several years.

  1. Your photography is excellent. They are so clear and so appealing. Clearly shows the kind of effort you put. My favourite from Body shop is their Morninga body butter, Camomile makeup remover, cotton pads

  2. Love ur reviews Ankita !!! I haven't used any TBS products before coz couldn't find any of their shops around, but now I can… So would definitely want to try out their products.. Could U please also compile the products which r like the absolute must haves or should be definitely tried out, would really help the beginners 😊😊😊😊 n u r soo lovely Ankita !!!

  3. I totally agree with you that the blemish fade lotion is a hidden gem…In fact it is like my must have night lotion … can use it after any serum !
TBS brushes are another must have for me…. I’ve been using them for past 4 years and still they look so new

  4. I have been loving the Vitamin E night time facial oil which hydrates the skin while you snooze. Its one of the best moisturizing facial oils I have tried and use it especially when my skin is dry & patchy.
Also, the cocoa butter lip balm is amazing for chapped and dry lips.

Also, the face & body brush is amazing! I burnt the bristles unknowingly when my hairdryer somehow managed to come too close to the bristles and burnt them. But I use the brush anyway and I dont feel the quality of the bristles has eroded. However, I use this for applying bronzer and love how it evenly spreads the product.

Completely agree with the Green Apple body butter. One of my faves! <3

Absolutely love the brand and have been loyal to it since years!

  5. The tea tree range is my favorite, use everything from the range. The bb cream from the tea tree range is the best I have tried so far!I have never bought any brushes, always get tempted because the bristles look so good and the price is also reasonable.

  6. The Body Shop was the first brand I ventured into when I started gaining some knowledge of skin care and wanted to try skin condition specific products. Such a great compilation of the products, I have tried the Tea Tree Blemish Fade Lotion and Aloe Vera range and loved both of them!

    xx Aditi

  7. The Hemp foot cream works every time I get that rough, bristly feeling after wearing sandals for a couple of days.It doesn’t remove the existing lines, but it gets rid of the roughness in a couple of days.

The Madagascar Vanilla Body Lotion smells so good and a little exotic. It’s a great mood lifter.

The Body shop Instablur Eye primer is a decent primer. They claim that it’s a concealer as well. But I haven’t found it so.

  8. I have tried the vitamin E range from TBS for my combination skin and it is amazing. Apart from this I use the tea tree oil for my breakout and is has a quite noticeable effect on the breakouts. It helps the breakout reduce and eventually go away completely in a calculated manner.

  9. This is a beautiful review. I just wanted to mention that I agree with you about their makeup range. My favourite TBS product is their lipstick in Fuchsia Flirt!
It’s a great everyday sheer colour that builds well, and is super moisturising.
P.S : Your blogs are crisp and well conveyed. 🙂 Love reading them.
