Shiseido Wetforce UV Perfect Protector SPF 50+ : Review
The Shiseido Wetforce UV Perfect Protector comes in a compact blue and orange packaging. The bottle fits into the palm of the hand and has a very unique & intersting shape. The cap unscrews to reveal a fine nozzle that controls the flow of the sunscreen. In terms of consistency, its a very watery product and you need to be a little careful while pouring it out. The bottle needs to be shaken well before use to make sure all the immiscible layers are well mixed when you dispense the sunscreen. I absolutely love the consistency and feel of this product. It reminds of one of my favorite foundations – the Shiseido Sheer & Perfect Foundation (which I used up completely, a rare feat for me!). Its very thin & lightweight on the skin and doesn’t give any greasiness or white cast. In fact, you can hardly tell you have anything on your skin when you use this. It blends down completely with no visible color and a barely there satin finish. Its not a dry matte and but its not dewy either. Anyone who dislikes the tacky, heavy texture of most sunscreens needs to give this a try!
Because it has a high percentage of dimethicone (a silicone) in it, it works great as a makeup base. One of the interesting things about this formula is that its supposed to get more water repellant as it interacts with perspiration or moisture. Unfortunately there’s no way to visibly see this effect so we’ll have to take their word for it! This sunscreen is very water-resistant and very high protection (SPF 50+ and PA++++) so its great for people who are very sensitive to the sun.
Overall, its an excellent sunscreen that hits all the right spots for me. Its very light weight on the skin, doesn’t make my skin greasy or dry, has high protection and works well under makeup. The only downside is that it is quite expensive but I do see myself splurging on this as it has the best texture and consistency out of all sunscreens I’ve ever used!

Pictured below : Few drops of the sunscreen blended completely on the back of my palm. As you can see, it doesn’t leave any white cast or greasy residue behind.
