5 Reasons to Love Face Mists!

When it comes to skincare-makeup hybrids, Face Mists are on the top of my list! I simply can’t live without one and neither my skincare, nor my makeup routine is complete without these magical bottles! Here’s the lowdown on the several ways you can use a Face Mist in your beauty routine –

Face Mists in India

Face Mists in India

1. As a Toner

Just spritz some onto cleansed skin before moisturizer. It would help prep the skin for the following product and also help in the absorption of the moisturizer. Face mists often contains skin loving ingredients that can help tighten, tone, moisturize and brighten the skin. So much easier and quicker than fussing with a cotton pad!

2. To moisten brushes

I’ve been using face mists to dampen my foundation brush for years now! A slightly moist brush does a much better job of blending liquid foundation compared to a dry brush. I also use it to moisten eye shadow brushes when I’m working with pigments or wet eye shadows.

3. To moisten the skin (before foundation)

Just like a moist brush works better, slightly moist skin is the best canvas for blending liquid and cream foundations. Just spritz on a little face mist before you apply foundation. The foundation glides on much smoother and gives a much better finish when working with a moist brush on slightly damp skin.

4. To set/finish your makeup

Sometimes, powder can leave a slightly dry look to the skin. So to set or finish off my makeup, I like to spray on a little bit of face mist. It just settles your makeup, gives it a natural dewiness and also helps it last longer.

5. To refresh and hydrate your skin through the day

I always carry a face mist in my bag and its a great way to keep your skin fresh and hydrated throughout the day. I like to use it every 3-4 hours to refresh my skin (whether I’m wearing makeup or not) and it really helps in keeping the skin healthy and moisturized! I’ve also noticed that my foundation stays fresh longer when I use a face mist every few hours!

I'm using it here in India. You could keep it in the fridge. If you're allergic to the citrus in it, maybe try the Avene Thermal Water.
