LORAC Pro Palette Review
I’ve heard so many great reviews about this palette but LORAC products are so darn hard to find in Asia. I was so happy when I received this from the brand for review! LORAC’s Pro Palette is truly the king of all the nude palettes I’ve tried so far, including the Urban Decay Naked palette! The palette has a sleek cardboard packaging and houses 8 matte colors in the top row and 8 shimmery colors in the second row. The palette comes with a mini tube of the Behind the Scenes Eye Primer which had a slot in the outer carton but no designated place in the palette itself which is a bummer! The primer itself is excellent and really helps enhance the wear of the eye shadows.
The shadows have a soft, buttery smooth texture and excellent color pay off. The shades apply true to pan color on the skin and blend like a dream! The shadows apply even more intense when you use them with a damp brush. I recommend using a dense, firm brush with these otherwise you might end up with a lot of fall out since these have a really soft surface.
The great balance of matte and shimmery colors makes this a very versatile palette. I also like how the colors go from light to dark gradually and the finishes are in separate rows – just makes it very clean and organised. The colors vary from creamy nude and sparkly champagne to rich golds, coppers and browns. There are 2 really versatile matte browns that are excellent for the crease/blending work. The gunmetal and purple add some room for variety and contrast.
The wear time of these eye shadows is phenomenal. These are hands down the best eye shadows in terms of longevity. I’ve worn these for as long as 16 hours and there was absolutely no creasing or fading (I used the primer that comes with this palette)! Overall, the palette is a complete winner in terms of the color variety as well as formula. I thought I was getting a little tired of the whole nude palette saga with the tons of nude palettes we’ve seen in the past few years but this one is a stunner!
The only drawback is that LORAC isn’t the easiest brand to get hold of. So if you can get your hands on this, count yourself lucky! Highly recommended!
