Today I’m doing a quick review + swatches of the Sigma Brilliant & Spellbinding Eye shadow Palette. The 12 eye shadow palette contains a lovely mix of soft nudes and toasty browns with pops of pink and coral. Price : $39.00. Available online at sigmabeauty.com.
Sigma Brilliant & Spellbinding Eye shadow Palette
The palette is predominantly warm pearly eye shadows with a few mattes that are great basic colors for any look. The pink and coral are super pretty (and double up as blushes) and add a nice pop of color to the palette. The soft champagne, gold, bronzy shades are really pretty on warmer complexions and offer endless possibilities for different looks – especially softer colors for daytime. If the palette is missing anything, its 1-2 darker colors like a deep dark brown or black. I think some smokier shades would have further expanded the scope of this palette.
Coming to the formula, the eye shadows have are soft, buttery and well pigmented with the exception of Radiant and Bloom which were slightly chalkier but still decently pigmented. The eye shadows blend without difficulty and I found the matte browns Balmy and Sensational to be really silky and smooth. The staying power is good – these stay on my slightly oily lids a good 7 hours without creasing and fading (without primer).
Overall, a really nice neutral palette especially for those prefer warmer, light to medium eye shadow shades. I quite like the sleek cardboard packaging with its magnetic closure and large mirror. I find it priced quite well too – 12 shadows for $39.00 is good value for money!
