NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream Stockholm Review
This lip cream comes in a transparent tube packaging with a soft rubbery matte black top. There is a sticker at the bottom containing the shade name and number. The packaging is simple, sturdy and travel friendly. It has a doe foot applicator and the wand is short and easy to work with. The lip cream has a warm chocolatey caramel kind of fragrance which I find really tempting. The fragrance fades away minutes after application so it would not be an issue if you’re sensitive to scents. The lip cream spreads very easily and covers the lips in one go, and I don’t need to dip the wand back in the tube. As soon as its applied to the lips, it starts to settle down to a matte finish and could emphasise dryness and lip lines. It dries to a completely matte finish within a few minutes of application. Once it sets completely, it does not budge and can survive even full meals and drinks. Its performance is commendable considering the fact that it is a neutral shade. It stayed on me for about 5 hours with a full meal taken in between. After 5 hours, it starts to fade away and can get uneven as it fades.
Stockholm is an earthy shade with peachy undertones. Even though it is a neutral shade, its richly pigmented and opaque enough to cover pigmented lips in one swipe. Avoid going in for a second layer because it could look cakey. It has a super matte formula and will give a dry cracked appearance if the lips are not properly exfoliated before using it. I think this shade is best suited for light to medium skin tones as it could wash out deeper complexions.
If you are looking for a warm neutral lipstick which is long lasting and inexpensive, you could give this lip cream a try. People with severely dry lips can skip this one as it would emphasise the dryness even further.
Rating : 3.5/5

I’ll definitely keep an eye out for this color, it looks great for pairing with a coral blush or a warm smoky eye! [/note]
