I love using fruity bath products in the summer (and the whole year round to be honest!). There is something so refreshing and uplifting about a juicy fresh fruity bath product on a sweltering, summer day. Today I have a little compilation of some of the refreshing fruity treats I have been loving this summer from The Nature’s Co, The Body Shop and Iraya!
The Nature’s Co Lemon Peel Exfoliating Body Wash (Rs 845 for 250 ml)
This is a gel based wash with a gentle lemon scent. If you like softer scents in your bath products, this is a great pick because its not heavily scented, just enough to freshen without overpowering your bathroom! It lathers gently and cleans well without drying the skin. The exfoliating seeds and smaller granules are quite gentle on the skin so you get more of a polishing effect rather than a full blown scrub.
The Nature’s Co Mandarin Sugar Body Scrub (Rs 1495 for 200 ml)
The Mandarin sugar scrub is great if you need a little more exfoliation but still something that is not very harsh. Its a dense sugar scrub and the soft granules dissolve as you massage this on the skin. Just like the other products from The Nature’s Co., this one is not heavy on the scent and has a mild orange scent which is fresh but not overpowering. The scrub softens the skin without use of heavy textures and oils and the skin feels cleansed, soft and fresh after use!
The Nature’s Co Cool Cucumber Body Lotion (Rs 545 for 250 ml)
If you’re on the lookout for a lightly fragranced summer-friendly body lotion, the cucumber lotion is a good one to try! The scent is mild and natural and the consistency of the lotion is great for summers because it sinks right in without a greasy after feel. It feels fresh to use and the softer scent doesn’t interfere with your perfume so this is great for those who don’t like heavily fragranced body products. I also like the unusual shape of the bottle!
The Body Shop Satsuma Body Polish (Rs 650 for 200 ml)
If you like a punchier fruity scent (like I do), The Body Shop Satsuma Body polish is a fantastic citrus body wash that offer some gentle polishing action. I love the juicy orange scent of this one and gentle exfoliating particles leave you with a very clean feeling. Satsuma is one of the most refreshing lines from The Body Shop and if you want the scent to linger on, you could layer the body lotion or body sorbet from the same range after a shower.
The Body Shop Olive Body Scrub (Rs 1095 for 200 ml)
The Olive range is one of my favorites from The Body Shop and the Olive body scrub offers excellent exfoliation to scrub off all impurities and dead skin off your body. I love the scent of this scrub – its fruity yet slightly spicy and so different from the regular citrusy bath products that come to mind when you think fruit based bath products. The scrub isn’t abrasive and offers a good cleanse, leaving the skin fragrant and soft. I love this and highly recommend the shower gel from this range as well!

The Body Shop Strawberry Body Sorbet (Rs 795 for 200 ml)
If your skin gets oily in the summer and you hate the feeling of body lotion (I know some people do!), try the body sorbets from the The Body Shop. I’ve been using the Strawberry one since last summer and it is the most refreshing and light body moisturizer. Its a thick gel that absorbs into the skin offering light hydration and the juicy fresh scent of strawberries. This is also available in Satsuma and Moringa variants so you can check out those as well!
Iraya Grapes and Green Apples Shower Gel (Rs 295 for 250 ml)
This is another refreshing pick that gives you an unusual pairing of grapes and green apples. It smells slightly sweet, slightly tart and is absolutely wonderful on a hot summer day! The green gel wash lathers gently and cleans well without drying the skin. I also like using this on my makeup brushes sometimes because it cleans them well and leaves a slight scent. The pump packaging makes this convenient to use and I find this reasonably priced for the large 250 ml bottle.

Iraya Fruit and Nut Face Scrub (Rs 345 for 50 g)
I know this post is about fruity bath products but I’ve sneaked a face product in here too because I do enjoy using this light gel scrub in the shower. The exfoliating granules are really fine and soft, don’t feel harsh on the skin and the light apple scent makes it very pleasant to use. If you have oilier skin, this is a nice pick as the light gel texture works very well in the summer and leaves the skin feeling quite clean.
Iraya Orange and Citrus Lip Balm (Rs 245 for 20 g)
My last pick is the Orange and Citrus lip balm from Iraya which smells wonderfully of juicy oranges and adds instant moisture and softness to the lips. The texture is lovely – it melts on contact with the skin and drenches the lips in its fruity freshness and makes the lips quite soft. I like to use it with a toothbrush in the mornings sometimes to exfoliate and soften my lips before putting on a matte lipstick. This is a great pick for those who like citrus/fruity lip balms!
