Today I’m reviewing some pieces from the L’Oreal Paris Cannes 2015 collection. Every year, L’Oreal Paris launches new products during the Cannes film festival and this year, the collection includes some beautiful limited edition packaging lipsticks, Gel Intenza eye liners and new shades of Extraordinaire Gloss.
L’Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Intenza – Diamond Black, Sapphire Blue, Royal Blue (Rs 875)
These gel liners are fantastic! The formula is soft and creamy, pigmented, quick drying and long lasting. You can get rich opaque color in 1-2 passes of the brush and the color stays put once it dries. The eye liner are also comes with an eye liner brush which is really handy! The 3 shades I’ve tried include Diamond Black (black with silver shimmer), Sapphire Blue (blackish deep blue) and Royal Blue (jewel toned sapphire blue). All 3 shades are a nice alternative to regular black gel liner! I’ve also spotted a brown shade called Chic Brown online.

L’Oreal Paris Cannes 2015 Moist Matte Lipstick – Cherry Crush, Arabian Nights (Rs 1099)
These limited edition lipstick come in a Swarovski Crystal studded packaging houses in a velvet box. The shades are the same as the regular Moist Matte range – the only difference is in the packaging. I really like the Moist Matte formula from L’Oreal – its a silky soft matte formula, really well pigmented, doesn’t dry out the lips and stays on very well.
Cherry Crush is a cherry blossom pink that looks a bit pastel on my medium complexion. The color is pretty but a little difficult to pull off for wheatish and deeper skin. Arabian Nights is a gorgeous dark burgundy color that looks very gothic and glamorous! If these shades are not your cup of tea, you could go for some other shades like Raspberry Syrup (bright berry), Lincoln Rose (cool toned red) or Flaming Kiss (warm bright red). The only downside of these lipsticks is that they tend to break at the base very easily!

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire Gloss – Plum Quartet, Coral Encore (Rs 950)
I’ve previously reviewed a few shades from this range here. These are pigmented glosses with a rich, hydrating formula and a mirror-like shine. The applicator is really soft and pliable and the gloss envelopes the lips adding tons of moisture and a brilliant shine. The formula has a very cushion-y gel like feel that is very comforting on the lips. The colors stay for about 3-3.5 hours and may need reapplication after meals. Plum Quartet is a cool lavender pink with fine shimmer. The shade is slightly pale for me but I find it really pretty! Coral Encore is a stunning coral (also contains fine shimmer) that I’ve been wearing a lot lately. Its a very wearable, warming color for summer days.
