Revlon Shiny Matte Nail Art Nail Enamel in Pinstripe combines a gorgeous navy blue matte nail polish and a bluish metallic steel nail polish. I really like the idea of these dual ended Revlon Nail art nail polishes. They have a ton of different variants and I’ve tried couple of different ones but the Shiny Matte variant was new to me. The Matte Navy blue end is quite pigmented and applied nearly opaque in a single stroke. I have done only 1 coat in the images you see here. The consistency was a bit thick but workable. The brush on this end was like regular nail enamel brush – neither too thick nor too thin. I loved the velvety matte finish of this color. It looks really chic and it perfect for the colder season! However it takes some time to dry fully so give it 10-12 minutes to dry completely before you jump into any work involving your hands.
The Metallic Steel end is also very well pigmented, a little thinner in consistency and comes with a thinner brush so you can do some art with it like stripes etc. This one also needs some drying time if you apply it thicker. I don’t like this color so much by itself but I think it pairs quite well with the Matte Navy color.
Freshly applied, both the colors looked gorgeous on the nails! I absolutely loved how the matte navy looked! They do however emphasize uneven nail surface and even though I used a base coat, my nails look a little textured and uneven. Perhaps a second coat would smoothen things out a bit more. The most disappointing part though is the wear time. These are absolutely not meant for people who do any housework etc. because the nail paint chips easily and the finish becomes really dull and shabby looking within 2 days. I wish it was more durable because I would have happily worn the navy color all through the winter if the polish had worn well!
