Last week I was invited by Za (from the House of Shiseido) to experience their True White Two-way foundation and also spend a fun, relaxing day in some of the best spots in Tokyo. Everyone needs some fun and pamper time to stay feeling fresh and young and every city has something amazing to offer. I had a fabulous day unwinding in some of the most stylish rejuvenating parts of Tokyo.
My day started at the Shiseido offices in Tokyo where I tried out the True White Two-way foundation and learnt the best application techniques to apply it. I was also matched with a shade from the range to try out and the lovely people at Za gifted me a personalised foundation case!
After our session with the Two-way Foundation, Anna (from Shiseido) and I headed out to Daikanyama in Shibuya for a delicious lunch at Ivy Place. I had a fresh pizza and it was absolutely amazing! Daikanyama is a great spot to relax and unwind in Tokyo. This was my first visit to the area and I loved it! With its numerous cafes, eateries, the famous book shop Tsutaya and quaint little boutiques in every lane, one could easily spend a day in Daikanyama. Don’t forget to pick up a Beauty Juice at Cosme Kitchen (near the Daikanyama Station exit) while you are there!
After exploring Daikanyama for a bit, Anna and I headed to Omotesando which is another beautiful (and very fashionable!) area near Shibuya in Tokyo. The main street is lined with high end stores, boutiques, cafes and the Omotesando Hills Mall. The side streets are a little quiter but equally lovely with more cafes, beautiful little stores, hair and nail places. If you love a floral ambiance, you should head over to Nicolai Bergmann where you can find the artist himself and his floral work along with a lovely little cafe within the flower store itself.
If you have a sweet tooth, don’t miss out Magnolia Bakery (located a floor below the Chanel store on the main street) where you can indulge in some sweet treats. Anna and I picked a Halloween special cupcake each. It was so difficult to pick, all of them looked so tempting! We then headed over to Omotesando Koffee, a quiet little coffee place tucked away in one of the side streets where we had some nice hot coffee along with our cupcakes. There are numerous cafes in the area but if you want somewhere really quiet and peaceful, this place is great!
After the fun in Omotesando, we headed back to the Shiseido building in Ginza where we had a foot spa and massage appointment to finish off our day. I had the most blissful 30 minutes of foot and leg massage and I could barely keep myself from falling asleep! The lady who worked on my feet had amazing hands and I loved the scent of the Shiseido cream she used to massage my feet. My skin felt so soft and fragrant after the session. It was the perfect close to a fun, relaxing day in Tokyo!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post and if you are in Tokyo, do check out these spots if you want to relax and rejuvenate! I have an exciting contest coming up in a few hours where we will be talking a little more about staying #YoungInTheCity. Stay tuned! [/note]
