Today I’m reviewing a pretty orange lip gloss from L’Oreal Paris Glamshine 6H range – shade #501 Bahamas Sunrise.
Price : Rs 925
My take on the Product
The L’Oreal Paris Glam Shine lip glosses come in a slim tube with a tapered design at the center. I like the heart shaped applicator of the L’Oreal glosses – it fits the curves of lips making application easier. The texture of this gloss is on the thicker side and it can feel a little sticky. It applies evenly giving a coat of balmy hydrating richness and sheer-medium coverage to the lips. It doesn’t cover up the lips but adds a nice orange tint. It gives a juicy shine to the lips that actually stays for about 3-4 hours (with light snacking in between). I find the formula fairly comfortable to wear, non-staining yet fairly long wearing (the color stays after the shine wears off). I remember trying out the Glam Shine formula few years back and I remembering finding it really sticky but the new 6H glosses are a huge improvement! They are still mildly sticky but that helps with the wear time so I’m not complaining. The only thing I don’t like is the strong scent. It feels like a caramel scent gone wrong!
Shade 501 Bahamas Sunrise is a sheer orange shade containing some fine shimmer. The shimmer is very fine and non-gritty and doesn’t stand out on the lips – just adds to the shine. The shade is great for those who want to experiment with orange lip colors and want to start with something soft and wearable. If you have pigmented lips, I’d suggest using a nude lip liner underneath to make the orange shade show better on the lips. I find the color really pretty and fresh!
