MAC Heritage Rouge Pigment : Swatch, Review

Hey everyone!

Today I’m reviewing a gorgeous pigment that I recently picked online – MAC Heritage Rouge which was launched with the MAC Overrich Collection a few years back.

I bought a sample for $3.99 from allcosmeticswholesale.com. Currently available for $2.49.

My take on the Product

Heritage Rouge is a beautiful burgundy shade with a frost finish. The color is rich and beautiful, I think its a must-have for those who like plum and burgundy eye shadows! The pigment is very smooth, finely milled and adheres very well to the skin. There wasn’t much fall out during application and the pigment glided well on my lids. Sometimes pigments can be tricky – they might not apply well in dry state and might require a sticky base if they are too chunky or glittery. But I had no such issues with Heritage Rouge! The texture is very fine and it gives a beautiful soft reflective finish to the eyes, its frosty but not metallic. The color pay off is amazing – you need just a tiny amount of pigment and a sample jar would last a long long time! I wore this pigment for about 7 hours on my lids and there was no creasing or fall out issues (I had only used a matte eye shadow as base).

I’ve always had a great experience with MAC pigments. They are smooth in texture, apply well on the skin and the particles don’t fly around when you open the jar. The colors are rich, super pigmented and give an intense color to the lids. Heritage Rouge is one of the most beautiful MAC pigments I own and I highly recommend it!

Rating : 5/5

Hi, I don't know how they calculate the customs charges but these days, almost every parcel of mine coming from overseas gets slapped with customs duty!
