Today I’m reviewing a gorgeous lipstick from the YSL Spring 2014 collection – Rouge Volupte Lipstick in shade Rose Asarine.
Price : $34 (approx. Rs 2000)
My take on the Product
The YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks come in a stunning gold packaging with a colored band and the brand’s logo running through the center. The lipstick feels hefty and super luxurious! Formula-wise, this is the best lipstick range I’ve tried and I will continue to pick these when I want to splurge on high end products. The lipstick has a very smooth, silky, creamy texture. It just glides on the lips and feels so soft and buttery when you apply it. It is very pigmented and gives opaque color in a single swipe. The formula feels hydrating, softening and very comfortable to wear. There is something magical about the texture and feel of the lipstick on the lips – it doesn’t just sit in a thick layer on the lips but hugs the lips like second skin and really moisturizes and softens. The formula is very light weight and comfortable. The lipstick has a creamy, slightly glossy finish and my lips look fuller and smoother when I wear this it. I have had no issues like bleeding or feathering with this lipstick.
The shade Rose Asarine is bright reddish pink shade that wore well about 5-6 hours on me and left a pink stain on the lips. This is such a beautiful, wearable bright and I think it would suit a lot of people. I honestly can’t think of anything I don’t like about this lipstick. The luxurious packaging, the hydrating long wearing formula, the sweet mango scent – love everything about it! I feel like YSL lipsticks are as perfect as a lipstick can be! These are pricey but so worth it! So it you want to treat yourself, I’d suggest picking up a YSL lipstick. Highly recommended!
