What Lakme says about the Product

Crafted for a seamlessly hydrated and glossy looking skin, the Lakme Skin Gloss Reflection Serum provides the goodness of an aqueous veil with mineral laden glacial water that hydrates the skin to give it a natural, lustrous sheen.

How to use :

1. Pump 3-4 drops of the serum on to your palm

2. Apply it in dots all over your face

3. Massage in circular movements until it is completely absorbed

My take on the Product

The serum comes in a dark metallic grey pump bottle with a little turquoise blue accent. Love the twist up pump packaging and the look of the bottle! The serum itself is a clear gel like runny liquid that feels very watery and fresh on the skin. Its very light and absorbs with light massage. My skin feels smoother instantly after application and my moisturizer goes on much easier after I’ve used this. Anything I apply after this seems to absorb much better on the skin and this has become a essential prepping product for me before moisturizer. My night cream also spreads, blends and absorbs much better when I use this. I don’t have much dryness but my skin does feel a little dehydrated at times but whenever I use this, my skin looks and feels smoother and healthier. Since its really light and gel-like, the texture works great with my oily skin!

I have always liked serums by Lakme and I like this one too. That being said, I can’t really tell if it has done anything lasting for my skin in the long term. Its difficult to tell because the product promises only hydration and unless you have really dry or dehydrated skin, its hard to tell the difference in your skin. I still like using it everyday because it does seem to make my other products perform better and my skin does look healthier overall!

It does have the same scent as the rest of the range which I found quite heavy and unpleasant but it fades very quickly after application so it wasn’t a big issue with this product.

Who might like using this product?

People who don’t have any major skin concerns like pigmentation, acne, dullness etc. could incorporate this into their routine. Its light, it helps boost hydration in the skin and complements other skin care products. But if you have any skin concerns, its better to go for some other targeted serum that’ll help your skin with that particular concern.

Rating : 4/5

I can’t get myself to like Lakme skincare products because of the high price tag and average quality. That apart this does sound decent!

    • September 3, 2014 / 8:35 pm

I quite like their Youth Infinity range, have you tried that? This one is good though they can definitely go easy on the scents!

  6. September 3, 2014 / 3:52 pm

i felt like trying lakme absolute skin gloss range(i so love the name of the product) . But then i thought i should try using something that is effective on my large pores 🙁

    • September 3, 2014 / 8:36 pm

This won't help with pores Purva. Youth Infinity serum works better in tightening up the skin.

I am on the hunt for a good toner! I have been getting a lot of milia on the chin which is very bugging! Serums are something I have a few staples of and don’t really need to experiment

  10. September 3, 2014 / 11:12 pm
