Q : Hey Ankita! Since weeks I have been trying to get hold of certain rose pink and peach lipstick shades for my school farewell ceremony! I have read millions of reviews regarding the perfect lipstick shade and rather than landing on a decision, they has confused me even further. I could think of no other person other than you to help me out with this. Only if you could take some time out to suggest me certain matte peach and rosy lipstick shades, I’d be grateful!
A : Hey! Thanks for your question! I personally LOVE rose pink and peach/coral lipsticks for everyday wear and there are a few shades that I feel would work on most skin tones. Since you’re graduating school, I want to recommend options that are affordable hence I’m not recommending MAC and high end brands here. Here are a couple of my favorites that I think will suit you –
Lotus Herbals Pure Color Lipstick – Peach Creme (vibrant peachy coral), Pink Blush (warm rose)
These have a creamy satin finish but you can easily make them matte by dabbing a tissue gently over the lips after application. Both these colors are super gorgeous and brighten up the face. I remember using Peach Creme on my cousin sister on her farewell and also gifted that to her on her birthday and she loves it! Its a really pretty color! Worn Pink Blush HERE.
Revlon Colorburst Lipstick – Soft Rose
This is one of my all time favorites and one of the earliest lipsticks I bought. The warm peachy rose color looks great on the Indian complexion. I’ve worn it HERE. Revlon also has a shade called Peach which is a soft true peach shade but it looks better on lighter complexions I think.
Lakme 9-to-5 Lipstick – Red Chaos
Lakme 9-to-5 lipsticks are quite affordable and not very drying mattes. Red Chaos is a pretty peachy pink that’s worth checking out. The range has 40 shades and has lots of pinks, peaches and soft shades that I may have missed so have a good look at the range if you visit the counter. I’ve worn it HERE.
Revlon Plumpsexxy Lipstick – Rose Passion
Rose Passion is a super pretty warm coral that I personally find very flattering on myself. The formula feels really creamy so its very forgiving on the lips but you can always make it matte by blotting it down with a tissue. I’ve worn it HERE.
