My take on the Product
The Body Shop Color Crush eye shadows come in a simple round pan packaging with a clear flip open lid. The packaging is very slim and I would have preferred a more solid and sturdy packaging. But its easy to identify and locate shades because of the clear lid. The eye shadow has an amazing silky smooth texture and excellent color pay off. I think texture and pigmentation-wise, this is one of the best eye shadows I’ve tried! Despite being so soft and silky, the eye shadow doesn’t get powdery and there is no fall out in the pan or during application. It is super easy to blend owing to its lovely texture. The eye shadow wore well for over 7 hours with barely any fading and did not crease on my lids. By hour 8, there was a little bit of creasing but barely noticeable (I tested without primer). I have mildly oily lids and I was quite impressed with the overall quality and wear. Formula-wise, these are absolutely amazing! Highly recommended!
Rating : 4.5/5 (-0.5 for the flimsy packaging)
Shade #115 Be My Clementine is one of the most unique shades in the range. Its a peachy golden salmon color that has a beautiful slightly duochrome finish. The gold comes out just as strongly as the peachy tones and it looks beautiful on the eyes. I think the pictures don’t do it justice – it looks more vibrant in person! I think its a great color for pairing with Indian wear. The gold in it is very refined – adds a glistening finish to the skin without obvious looking shimmer/glitter. I’ve never really worn peachy eye shadows – they don’t always show up well on Indian complexions but the strong gold tones in this make it work! Love this!
I’ve worn this eye shadow all over the Lid in the following look –
