Friday Favorites #13

Hey everyone!

This week’s most loved products are mostly face products with one miscellaneous item that has become a holy grail! This week’s favorites features the following brands – Guerlain, Clinique, MAC and Dr.Bronner’s!

Friday Favorites #13

Guerlain Parure de Lumiere Foundation

The foundation is really easy to blend and gives a beautiful naturally glowing, luminous finish to the skin. Its not the best one for oily skin as my T-zone gets shiny fairly quickly if I don’t prime but I just love its finish so much! Its one of the those amazing foundations that look great in person and in pictures. The coverage is about medium,  I’ve worn it in THIS post most recently. I like pairing this with the Clinique Superprimer in Universal. *Pictured here : tester size (not the actual size).

Clinique Superprimer for face : Universal

This is a primer that does it all – it softens the imperfections, makes the skin smoother, helps foundation glide on easier and keeps my foundation fresh for a longer time. I love that it doesn’t feel too silicon-y, too wet, or too dry – it has the perfect balanced texture! If there’s one thing its not too good at, it is oil control so if you have a very oily T-zone like me (especially in the summers), you need a good mattifying powder to set your foundation. Price : Rs 1710

MAC Fleur Power blush

If I had to pick just one blush from my collection, it would be MAC Fleur Power. It was my first MAC blush and I absolutely love it! The warm coral pink brightens up my face like nothing else  and the formula is really smooth, satiny and well pigmented. It blends nicely and sits very nicely on the skin. The staying power is good as well. Love it! Highly recommended! Price : Rs 1350

Dr.Bronners Magic Soap : Pure Castile Soap (Lavender)

This is a liquid soap made with Pure organic oils and is supposed to be multipurpose – you can use it for 18 different things including face/body, laundry, brushing your teeth (I haven’t tried that!). It is very mild but very very effective. I have used it for both face and body but the best use for this is cleaning dirty makeup brushes. This stuff is really magical at dissolving stubborn foundation, gel liner, eye shadows from makeup brushes. I generally have to do 2-3 washes to get all the gunk out of my brushes (with baby soap/shampoo) but this worked its magic in literally seconds. I’m never using anything else for my brushes ever again!! I also love LOVE the lavender scent! I found this at a Japanese drugstore and it is available in many pharmacies/drugstores around the world but unfortunately, not in India yet. Price : 1200 JPY (Rs 712)

Fleur power has been on my radar for really long.. but I already have a lot of peachy blushes.. Tarte Tipsy, blissful, Nars Orgasm, Deep Throat etc! I think I cannot justify purchasing it just yet! 😛
