Today I’m reviewing a gorgeous blush from Clinique’s new Spring launch – Cheek Pop Blusher! The range contains 4 beautiful colors and I am reviewing the shade Peach Pop.
Price : US$21.00 (= Rs 1265)
My take on the Product
These have been garnering amazing reviews ever since they launched! I wanted them so badly because I absolutely love Clinique as a brand and the colors were right up my alley. These launched in Japan in February and I was a little shocked at the price tag. Thankfully sephora.com has now started shipping to Japan and I picked these up online at a more decent price. I had Ginger Pop in mind but it was sold out so I settled for Peach Pop instead. (See the rest of my Sephora haul here).
The packaging is super cute – clear plastic tub with a daisy print on the blush surface. It just screams spring to me! The texture of these blushes is very unique – they are powders but feel very velvety – almost like a cream. But they do not have the wetness of a cream or the dryness of a powder, they’re just somewhere in the middle. They are quite pigmented when you swatch them with your fingers but go on sheerer with a brush, giving room to layer and build up which is excellent! Blending is a breeze, they just go on so beautifully on the skin giving a lovely flush of color. The staying power is excellent as well. The longest I’ve worn Peach Pop was for 9 hours and it was intact with very slight fading when I took off my makeup. I rarely get such long wear from blushes! Overall, there is absolutely nothing not-to-love about these blushes. They are so easy to use and look so lovely on the skin. The formula is brilliant and I love the shade selection as well! I would highly recommend these to everyone!
Peach Pop is a warm coral color with a subtle reddish undertone and a bit of sheen. It worked really well for my complexion – added life to my face without being clownish bright. The formula also has barely detectable illuminating particles that give a very natural glowing finish to the skin. Loved it! If you like your peaches and corals, do check this out! I think these blushes are so rich in color and yet so easy to layer and build up that they’ll work for a wide range of skin tones.
