The Chanel cream blushes were an instant hit when they first launched last year. Ever since I heard Lisa Eldridge raving about these, I had to have at least 1 shade from the range. I paid 3 visits to the Chanel Store at Palladium in Mumbai to get my hands my on these! I really wanted one before my wedding makeup (not that I didn’t have blushes, just wanted it for the pure indulgence of it!) and I could finally get one before I left Mumbai.
Price : Rs 2300 for 2.5 g
What Chanel says about the Product :
This innovative powder-cream formula offers an enticing new way to blush with sheer yet vibrant pigments for instant luminosity. The silky texture offers a long-wear satin finish—soft and comfortable for every skin type—and is simple to apply with fingertips or brush. See all shades on the Chanel website.
My take on the Product
The Chanel cream blush comes in a sleek compact casing housed in a velvet sleeve. The flip open packaging has the signature entwined Cs of the house of Chanel. The compact contains a mirror on the underside of the lid. The texture of the blush is in between a powder and a traditional cream – it feels creamy at first but quickly transforms into a silkier, powdery feel as you work it into the skin. It barely needs any blending, it just melts into the skin with a few strokes of the finger/brush. The color intensity is buildable – you can wear it very sheer or built up. The wear time is good, I get an easy 6 hours with it after which it fades. Overall, the formula is beautiful and so easy to use! It doesn’t get patchy, doesn’t need blending and buffing and gives room for building the color intensity. Its unlike any cream blush I’ve used so far and I like that it gives a satin finish instead of the dewy sheen (that gets greasy after a while) on the cheeks like traditional creams – makes it compatible with oilier skin types as well.
Available in 6 shades. I picked up Revelation – a warm pink (looks more coral in the pan) that gives a very natural flush to my cheeks. I love wearing this under pink, peach and coral powder blushes to extend the wear time and it pairs beautifully with a lot of shades. I think its a gorgeous color that’ll flatter a wide range of complexions, highly recommended!
p.s – I wore this on my wedding day as well under MAC Pinch Me blush!
The GOOD about Chanel Le Blush Creme de Chanel :
- Sleek packaging
- Silky velvety texture
- Powdery finish – no greasy after feel
- Blends easily
- Buildable color intensity
- Good wear time
- Formula will work for all skin types
- Beautiful shade range
The NOT-SO-GOOD about Chanel Le Blush Creme de Chanel :
- Quantity is less (only 2.5 g)
There’s nothing NOT to LOVE about the Chanel cream blushes! I love the velvety cream to powder formula, the silky feel, the ease of blending and the buildable color. Revelation is a warm rose shade that’ll look great on many skin tones – it brightens without overpowering the look. Priced at Rs 2300 for 2.5 g of product, these are pure indulgence but one you won’t regret! Highly recommended!
