Bridal Nail Art Idea : Glossy Red with Gold Accent

Hey everyone!

I had been thinking along the lines of red and gold (the obvious bridal colors!) for my nails for the wedding day. I found some beautiful yet simple polishes that integrate gold flecks in red or red glitter in a red base. But sadly these aren’t available in India. So I looked through everything gold and red through my stash and created this simple statement nail art ~

I used Lakme Absolute Gel Stylist in Scarlet Red (2 coats). And for the ring finger nail, I used some clear polish and then sprinkled some loose gold glitter from Ben Nye over it. I love the end result! It feels very me and its something that can be done easily and quickly enough. I think I’m going to go with this look for the final day though I might use a different red nail paint simply because the Lakme one takes ages to dry completely. I also thought of doing just glitter tips on all the nails but I like this style a little more!

What do you think?

  1. I like your concept Ankita. I had some similar theme going for my bridal nails in Feb this year. I did red and gold water marble accents and they came out quite lovely.

  2. Oh, and I used a red from my OPI stash. Most of their holiday collections have wonderful reds and you are very likely to find one that suits you. They dry fast and don’t chip very easily.
I would go for OPI or China Glaze over the Lakme gel stylist anyway.

  3. Sweet and Simple…I would suggest you to keep it simple if you a wearing a heavy lehnga or sari as hand accessories and everything around would already be so goddy, U can surely try different nail arts in small functions…

  4. I think you should play it up a little, perhaps do French tips or chevron tips on the nailtips or near the cuticle. Or do those in different directions on each nail: like doing French tip on the nailtip in index finger, horizontal on middle, you catch my drift. 🙂
