My take on the Product
Colorbar Pout in a Pot comes in a shiny round pot packaging that comes with a small brush. At first glance these reminded me of the Colorbar lip pots but these are a bit different. The packaging is quite well equipped – it has a mirror on the underside of the flip open cover apart from the brush outside so touch ups are convenient (not that you would need it!). But the brush is a little difficult to remove the first time you use it. I used a tweezer to pop it out the first time.
I love the formula – its super creamy, non-sticky, doesn’t bunch up or crease on the lips and is super pigmented! It pigments stain deeply and hence the color stays on the lips for a long long time. Most times I’ve worn this, I’ve had to use an oil based remover to get rid of the pink stain. I don’t mind that though but I can see that as a con for some. It is quite hydrating and keeps the lips smooth and moisturized, I don’t feel a need for balm/gloss even after 5-6 hours of wear. The finish is glossy but not as wet and juicy as a lip gloss – its more on the creamy side. The glossiness wears off with meals/drinks after a while but it doesn’t get sticky or tacky.
Because the formula is very pigmented, it does give fairly opaque coverage but it doesn’t feel like a heavy layer of product on the lips. A thin layer gives plenty of color. Compared to the Colorbar lip pots which seem similar, these are much more pigmented and long stay and come with a mirror + brush. The brush isn’t the best but fairly decent in quality. Overall, I really like the product – its creamy, hydrating, pigmented, glossy and stays on well! Comes in 8 pretty shades out of which I had a tough time picking just one! Charming Pink is a warm coral pink that deepens to a slightly more vibrant pink as the color stains the lips. Its one of those great in-between shades – not too light/nude, not too dark – just bright enough to perk up the face. If you’re fond of pinks, do check this out!
This is how the color looks on me (freshly applied). Its looks more vibrant once the color stains the lips –
The GOOD about Colorbar Pout in a Pot Lip Plumper Charming Pink :
- Comes with a mirror + brush
- Super creamy texture
- Very pigmented
- Feels light weight on the lips
- Long stay (Stains)
- Glossy cream finish
- Absolutely non-sticky

The NOT-SO-GOOD about Colorbar Pout in a Pot Lip Plumper Charming Pink :
- The brush can be difficult to pop out
- Stains heavily – need an oil based remover
Colorbar’s new Pout in a pot has everything I like in a lip color – creamy hydrating formula, non-sticky long stay pigments and amazing color pay off! The packaging also comes with a tiny brush and a mirror inside which can come in handy. Apart from the fact that it stains really heavily and that the brush can be difficult to pop out, I absolutely love it! Charming Pink is a beautiful warm pink that brightens up my complexion without seeking attention. Highly recommended!
