Today I’m reviewing a beautiful plum rose lipstick from Chambor ~ Rouge Plump+ Lipstick in shade 745.
Price : Rs 745
My take on the Product
I’ve always liked Chambor lip products because of how hydrating and comfortable they are and this one doesn’t disappoint in that aspect. The navy/silver packaging is quite slim and compact. Its similar to the Truly Lasting lipstick but it doesn’t have the dust attracting rubberized finish and hence doesn’t get dusty over time.
The texture of the lipstick is quite soft and smooth. I accidentally gouged a bit of product from the bullet while taking pictures. Its very soft so that can easily happen. Only downside is that there may be little bit of melting in the tube in the hot summer months. It feels really buttery and creamy on the lips, glides easily to give saturated color in a single swipe. The formula feels quite hydrating and softening. It gives a slightly fuller and healthier look to the lips because of the creamy finish but apart from that, I don’t see any real plumping effect. It is not one of those plumping products that tingle on the lips and make them swell up a bit.
While I love how comfortable it feels on the lips, the staying power is a not too great. It doesn’t stain the lips heavily and can transfer easily because of its creamy texture. With mild eating it stays well for about 4 hours or so but a meal almost completely wipes it out! But it doesn’t get patchy or uneven like very creamy lip products do sometimes. I’d definitely recommend this to women with dry lips! This particular formula has a faint cosmetic scent with a hint of the coconutty scent that other Chambor products have. I don’t like it particularly but its not unpleasant so I don’t mind.
Shade no. 745 is a gorgeous rosy plum shade that works beautifully with Indian skin especially wheatish/dusky complexions. I wore this paired with Rimmel Lipgloss Lovesick in my last video tutorial. The color is quite understated but not too light or too dark. Its a great shade for work wear as well. I personally love wearing it with soft defined eyes and a hint of pink blush. Because its not too plummy, it doesn’t make me look washed out, the rosy pink touch gives a nice healthy look to the face. I think this is one of the prettiest colors from this range. Highly recommended!
The GOOD about Chambor Rouge Plump+ Lipstick (745) :
- Slim, compact packaging
- Soft texture, very creamy
- Very hydrating and comfortable
- Very pigmented
- Gives full coverage in single swipe
- Doesn’t get patchy/uneven as it fades
- Doesn’t stain the lips
- SPF 15
The NOT-SO-GOOD about Chambor Rouge Plump+ Lipstick (745) :
- Not very long stay – transfers easily
- Can melt a bit in the tube in hot conditions
- No visible ‘plumping’
The Chambor Rouge Plump+ lipstick reminds me a lot of the Truly lasting lipstick from the brand – smooth, very creamy texture, great pigmentation and super hydrating texture. The lipstick doesn’t stay too long if you have eat/drink but the formula is excellent for women with dry lips – its not only hydrating and softening but it doesn’t emphasize fine lines or dryness because it doesn’t stain. Its expensive but if you have very dry lips, I’d definitely recommend this to you!
745 is a lovely rosy plum color – a very balanced shade that gives a soft, healthy color to the face without looking overpowering. I love the shade and wore it in my last video tutorial HERE.
